Bonus Round 6: Remixes

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on August 18 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.
RULES
- Choose a fanwork created by other participants in a previous main or bonus round of SASO and create a new piece based on it. You could create a fanart of another work, an FST inspired by a piece’s style, retell another person’s fanfic from another point of view, create a new fanfic inspired by a great piece of art... go wild!
- You cannot remix your teammates' works.
- You must have permission from the original creator. There's a blanket permissions post here (feel free to add yourself to it!), or you can leave a comment on their original post asking for permission.
- You must include the dreamwidth link to the original work in your post.
- Since all fills are based on previous works, there will be no prompts for this round. Simply post your fill as a comment in response to this post.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

"Hey, Tooru." Hajime starts. He starts because he doesn't know how to end, never knows how to end this, finish it. Doesn't want to.
(In this case, though, he does know what he has to do. There's an instinct in the back of his mind, telling him what needs to be done, accompanied by the voices of everyone who's ever said what needs to be done, what he needs to do.
We can't let the Grand King win.
This has to end.
"Let me be the one to do it," Hajime begs. He knows it has to be him who does this. In all that's unfair in this world, this is probably what is the most unfair. That it has to be like this, that they can't live in peace and coexist. That they can't run away and escape this destiny that's been thrown down upon them.)
If there's a next time, I don't want it to be this way, Hajime thinks, wants to say, as he gets to his feet, steps closer to Tooru. It's not an unspoken apology--not yet--but right now it's as good as.
He wishes it wasn't this way. That he wasn't playing both sides--sticking close to Tooru to try and help the rest of the rebels stop the Grand King from tearing the world apart.
Hajime's no hero. He doesn't want to save the world. That's too big for him. But he'd do anything if it meant saving Tooru from tearing himself apart like this.
"Iwa-chan?"
His fingers curl into the front of Tooru's shirt as he yanks him forward and into a kiss. For a moment, he thinks, I don't have to do this. We could run. We could run and never look back.
But that moment is broken, as Hajime grips his sword tighter the moment before he plunges it into Tooru's stomach.
Blood that isn't his own fills his mouth, and Hajime's painfully aware of the tears slipping down his cheeks as he pulls back, pulls away. His grip on Tooru loosens, falters altogether and when he lets go, Tooru falls to the ground.
It's over as quickly as it began. But that doesn't mean he forgets it, doesn't mean he regrets doing what he had to.
"I'm sorry, Tooru," he says, aloud this time.
Sorry it ended like this.
"I love you, ya know. That's why..." He trails off, knowing Tooru can't hear him, won't ever hear him again, and he rubs at the tears on his face. There's still blood on his hands. A lot of it.
"Goodbye."
It's the end.
