Bonus Round 6: Remixes

The event's almost over, and you've made it this far, congrats! This round encourages you to look back at everything the SASO has made and use it as inspiration.

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on August 18 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

• Choose a fanwork created by other participants in a previous main or bonus round of SASO and create a new piece based on it. You could create a fanart of another work, an FST inspired by a piece’s style, retell another person’s fanfic from another point of view, create a new fanfic inspired by a great piece of art... go wild!
• You cannot remix your teammates' works.
• You must have permission from the original creator. There's a blanket permissions post here (feel free to add yourself to it!), or you can leave a comment on their original post asking for permission.
• You must include the dreamwidth link to the original work in your post.
• Since all fills are based on previous works, there will be no prompts for this round. Simply post your fill as a comment in response to this post.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

Required Work Minimums:

• 400 words (prose)
• 400px by 400px (art)
• 14 lines (poetry)

There is no max work cap.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many fills as you want!

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Remix of nyatsuuuu's AkaKuroo fill from BR5

“Omelet du fromage?”

Akaashi pokes her head up, turning towards the direction of the smooth, honeyed voice. The girl speaking to her slinks out of the shadows into bright light, grinning like the smuggest cat who’s just found its prey. Her face is familiar, and so is the green and silver striped tie she wears. She’s pretty. Akaashi will give her that.

Still, Akaashi narrows her eyes, unamused by the attempt at a dramatic entrance.

The girl slides down to sit next to Akaashi, smile still etched on her face. She leans in closer towards Akaashi, leaning in to whisper in her ear.

“Tarte au chocolat,” the girl mutters, slightly less confidently this time, and Akaashi can hear her breath hitch in her throat. “L- la pomme de terre de tomate au bacon. Boulettes de viande.”

Akaashi blinks. She pulls away from the girl, frowning.

“Why,” she asks, “Are you whispering food names into my ear?”

The girl clicks her tongue, raising an eyebrow. “Food names? I mean, you are very delectable, yes, but I don’t know what you’re talking about.” She pauses for a moment, before beginning to speak again. “Où se trouvent les toilettes?”

Akaashi just gapes back at the girl wide-eyed. “The bathroom is down the next corridor.” Wait, didn’t this girl go to Hogwarts? Surely she would know its geography better than Akaashi did. Perhaps she had been bewitched, and needed some sort of charm to set her mind straight. “You are all right, aren’t you?”

Now it is the girl’s turn to stare back at Akaashi in disbelief.

“I’m fine, I’m fine! I just wanted you to know how beautiful you looked today.” She cranes in towards Akaashi. “Isn’t that what I just told you? In French?”

Akaashi has to resist the urge to palm her face in complete horror.

“You called me a cheese omelet, a chocolate pie, and then potatoes with tomatoes and bacon. Please work harder on your pickup lines.”

The girl just stares back in shock. She covers her mouth, and her cheeks turn bright red; of course they would, when she has just humiliated herself. What does surprise Akaashi, however, is the laugh that spills from the girl’s lips, and then the next. Soon, the girl is doubled over in peals of laughter, clenching her stomach in sheer joy.

For a split second, Akaashi can’t help but smile as the girl begins to speak.

“I’m—I got trolled so bad. I’m going to kill Bokuto,” she says, extending a hand for Akaashi to shake. “Well, since the French method isn’t going to work, nice to meet you. My name’s Kuroo. I’ve been wanting to talk to you.”
