Bonus Round 1: AUs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).
Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. There's a comment template below for your convenience.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Izumi & Sakaeguchi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Izumi/Sakaeguchi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- An AU can be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [character] was the Team Captain instead of the canon captain character?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g., pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
- Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

There's a shift in atmosphere when Akashi walks into the room, flanked by the rest of his team, at the Vanguard Inter-High.
Rakuzan has been the strongest team for years on end but it's different now. They were always powerful, always a little overwhelming in their strength.
They've never been quite this terrifying before. There's never been someone like Akashi on their team, walking with his head held high, something in his eyes making everyone else around him lower their heads as he walks past.
"Sei-chan," Mibuchi is cheerful as ever, unbothered by the sudden silence that falls upon their entrance. "How many turns are you going to win in today?"
"Don't spoil it," Hayama protests. "I like it best when he declares it right at the start of the match."
Behind them, unnoticed by most of the room, Mayuzumi sighs to himself and wishes that he was somewhere else, reading in peace, instead of waiting for Akashi to make a last minute substitution to the team, just for his own amusement.
They're not at the finals yet and Akashi is predictable enough, to someone like Mayuzumi. He might just be one of the reserve players in this three-on-three match, but he can tell that Mibuchi will go first and defeat whoever their opponents send out first as cannon fodder.
Nebuya won't play the second match. Akashi will send Mayuzumi out instead, in the game that doesn't matter. If Mayuzumi wins, Akashi won't need to play his hand until the next round. If he loses, Akashi will crush their third player.
Four turns, Mayuzumi thinks to himself. Akashi has always liked the number four best.
Today, there's tension in his shoulders, his fingers resting on his deck box where it sits on his belt. He's ready to play, and Mayuzumi notices. Akashi is the one who has taught him to notice these sorts of things, after all.
Mibuchi wins. Mayuzumi plays an ordinary and ultimately subpar game, losing with his opponent on five damage.
Akashi steps to the table, setting his deck in its place and putting his starting vanguard down. His opponent looks shaken already. Mayuzumi took notice of the way he'd hoped his teammate would lose, just to avoid this.
"Four turns," Akashi announces, to his opponent, to the room at large. There's something wrong about his eyes; nobody has figured out how to describe it, other than wrong. It happens in every game that he plays and face to face, it's even more terrifying than his perfect win record. "Four turns is all it will take to win, with Chaos-Breaker Dragon."
Mayuzumi snorts quietly at the unnecessary dramatics. He swears he can feel Akashi's eyes on him, even though Akashi is looking at the hand that he's drawn. Then again, it always feels like Akashi is watching everything all at once.
He shrugs it off when the match starts. It doesn't matter, after all. Better Akashi than him.
