Bonus Round 1: AUs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).


This popular round is back once again! To begin this year's SASO, we encourage you to let your mind run wild with alternate ideas and settings.


Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. There's a comment template below for your convenience.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Izumi & Sakaeguchi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Izumi/Sakaeguchi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• An AU can be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [character] was the Team Captain instead of the canon captain character?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g., pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
• Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

I didn't really plan on filling this, but I kept writing parts of it while filling a different prompt because I liked the idea so much.

Ennoshita was absolutely sure that the only thing good about working at a pizzeria was that he sometimes got to go home with the leftover slices at the end of the day.

And the money, the money was also good. Film school was expensive, and if he had to prostrate himself to the pizza gods to get a new light kit, he would.

He knew it would be a bad day as soon as he walked through the doors this morning. His manager had informed him that the automated texting system had crashed overnight, so they would have to text all the customers about scheduled pizza delivery by hand. He didn’t even get to start on the texts before both a youth soccer team and a Little League baseball team came into the shop, ordering what seemed to be an endless number of pizzas.

Customers kept giving him the stink eye as if he was personally responsible for the noise, mess, and chaos that four dozen children made, while others were mad because the online ordering system had also been hit by the system crash.

By the time he sat down to tackle the automated texts, he was in a foul mood. His day could not get any worse.

He typed an endless amount of form texts, waited for them to reply, and marked whether or not they wanted their pre-scheduled delivery over and over and over again. At least it was mindless enough that he could think about the plot for his script writing class final. He would take busy work over dealing with another kid’s sports team any day.

The program he was using dinged to alert him he had received another response. He couldn’t help but let out a loud sigh when reading the response:

He was an underpaid, sleep deprived college student, working in a crappy pizzeria. What did he do in a past life to deserve this horror story of a day? Ennoshita sends back a standard response, before moving onto the next name on his list. (How in the world were there this many people who scheduled pizzas with them? This was a college town, there were more cheap, dingy pizzerias than overpriced, hipster coffee shops.)

After a few more texts, Jokey McJokester, as Ennoshita had taken to calling them, sent another text:

[Received]: When I make love I imagine you tossing dough shirtless

At this point, Ennoshita was at the ends of his ropes. According to his account profile, he lived in one of the frat houses on Greek Row. Couldn’t he order pizza from any other place? The pizzeria might treat him like a pizza-making machine and the university treated him like a school robot, but he was an actual human being and could not take any of this bullshit anymore. He sent back a sassy response, not actually caring what the answer was.

He finished the rest of the list and went to clock out, in order to run to his afternoon class, when the system dinged to alert him that the jokester had replied again. Ennoshita couldn’t help but to let out a laugh. Maybe something would come out of this terrible day after all.

omg when i saw someone filled this i screamed!! i'm glad you maxed out ennoshita's tired college kid, minimum wage doneness ahaha
the details about dealing with kids' ball teams and the college town and the hipster pizzerias, honestly i couldn't stop smiling. it's hilarious imagining tanka texting those jokey mcjokester texts and ennoshita squinting at them like....... c'mon dude
AND THE ENDING that's honestly sweet? how it surprised a laugh out of ennoshita....... surprise pizza date, best possible ending, tbh.
