Bonus Round 1: AUs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).


This popular round is back once again! To begin this year's SASO, we encourage you to let your mind run wild with alternate ideas and settings.


Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. There's a comment template below for your convenience.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Izumi & Sakaeguchi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Izumi/Sakaeguchi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• An AU can be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [character] was the Team Captain instead of the canon captain character?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g., pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
• Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

“So, you’re with Suga in Karasuno Cabin again this year, Sawamura?” Hajime asks as he sits down at Daichi’s table.

Daichi only nods, tilting back the cup of coffee back until he drains it dry. Normally, he’s more of a morning person, but a long trip from his university in the city to the Camp HQ grounds the night before coupled with the early wake-up call has left him in what Koushi likes to call his “Ogre State”.

Hajime lets out a laugh, sliding over his own cup of coffee towards him. Daichi isn’t yet capable of higher brain function, so all he can do is look between Hajime and the cup of coffee. Hajime shrugs, and gestures at the cup of juice still on his tray.

“I got this, besides you look like you need it more than me.”

“Thanks,” Daichi manages to get out as he reaches for the new cup. He feels more human once the liquid makes its way down, and he’s telling himself that the warmth he’s feeling in his chest is only from the coffee.

“How about you? You still with Oikawa in Aobajousai Cabin this year?”

“Ugh, don’t remind me.”

There’s nothing that can make Hajime’s face sour faster than mentioning his fellow cabin counselor’s name. He takes his fork and starts stabbing at his eggs, as though he can see Tooru’s face in his breakfast. Daichi lets out his own laugh as he finally starts to work on his own breakfast.

“Well, that’s what happens when you end up winning the HQ Games for the past two years. The camp heads think you work best together and suddenly you’re partnered every year.”

“I guess so, but is winning the HQ Games again really worth the price of being partnered with Oikawa for another year?”

Hajime frowns and Daichi feels that warmth again, but he just shakes his head.

“Well, who knows, Iwaizumi. I think my batch of kids this year are going to win against yours this year. That might just save you.”

“Oh?” Hajime lets out a grin as he leans forward, “Care to bet on it?”

“Hm, what do you have in mind?”

“Loser treats winner to dinner back in Tokyo.”

“Deal,” Daichi agrees before he even realizes it.

Hajime’s grin grows sharper.

“Well then, I guess I have some planning to do with Oikawa now, if you’d excuse me.”

Daichi nods and before Hajime leaves, he holds up the cup of coffee he was given.

“Thanks again for the coffee.”

At that, Hajime’s grin grows softer, and fonder.

“Sure, anytime.”

Daichi doesn’t realize the look on his face until Koushi slides into the seat right next to his about half a second after Hajime leaves the Mess Hall.

“Did you just agree to go on a date with Iwaizumi?”

Daichi spits the mouthful of food he had across the table.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Iwaizumi can be smooth when he wants, and honestly, the entire fic was written to enable those last two lines, because Suga just needs to butt in on every aspect of Daichi's life.

Because he's a caring friend and not because Daichi is better entertainment than cable.

Their shoulders! Are so built, and the way that transitions so well into their very nice arms. <3 And their expressions are so cheerfully competitive but you can also tell that they're happy/fond of each other. The tiny symbols on all the shirts! (I'm so curious about this green symbol on Iwaizumi's shirt) The tiny first year campers <3
