Bonus Round 1: AUs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).


This popular round is back once again! To begin this year's SASO, we encourage you to let your mind run wild with alternate ideas and settings.


Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. There's a comment template below for your convenience.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Izumi & Sakaeguchi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Izumi/Sakaeguchi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• An AU can be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [character] was the Team Captain instead of the canon captain character?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g., pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
• Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

• 400 words (prose)
• 400px by 400px (art)
• 14 lines (poetry)

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Kiyoko-san smokes during lunch.

Hitoka hides around the corner, praying she doesn't notice, and unpacks her lunch from home on her lap. It's been a week since Hitoka's started going up to the roof between classes, and a full seven days since she'd seen Kiyoko Shimizu-san slip up to the roof herself, slender figure solitary in the fenced-off space.

The breeze tickles Hitoka's nose. "Achoo--"

Kiyoko-san turns her head toward the source of the noise, Hitoka's sneeze a little louder than she would have liked (that is, optimally: silent). "You can come out," she says, and her voice is softer, prettier than anything Hitoka had imagined. Her knees are weak when she stands up (from sitting on a hard floor, or from the way Kiyoko-san's eyes focus on her).

Kiyoko-san holds her cigarette daintily between two fingers, and Hitoka watches it burn, the acrid smoke filling her lungs with an unfamiliar taste. Her skirt is longer than regulation, but Hitoka can't find it offensive; it's just interesting, and somehow suits her. Kiyoko-san stands still, as if ready to be judged, or a fight (and she'd be graceful at it, Hitoka can somehow tell. She'd move fast, and go for the throat, and Hitoka wonders what it must be like, to be pinned down by a woman like that.)

"Sorry for intruding," Hitoka starts, but she's so nervous she can't quite feel her feet. Or her tongue. "I was just--"

"Looking for a quiet place?" Incredibly, unbelievably, the line of Kiyoko-san's mouth curves into a gentle, sloping smile.

Too awed for words, Hitoka silently nods. Kiyoko-san notices the cigarette burning, and moves to stub it out. "No," Hitoka blurts out. "That's--it's okay."

There's not much Hitoka knows about her, Kiyoko Shimizu-san, third year, rumored (and, if the cigarette is any evidence, confirmed) delinquent. She doesn't dye her hair, and apart from the long skirt she wears, could pass for any other student here, but she holds herself differently, with a confidence Hitoka wishes she also had.

"You're sure?" There it is again, the quicksilver flash of a smile on Kiyoko-san's face. "You don't mind?"

"Yes!" Hitoka nods furiously. "I'm--it's fine."

Kiyoko-san lifts the cigarette to her lips and doesn''t take her eyes off Hitoka when she inhales. "You know," Kiyoko-san finally says, wreathing the clouds with her own smoke, "You could at least sit down."

Tomorrow, Hitoka resolves, tucking her skirt under herself as she sits next (!!) to Kiyoko-san, she'll try bringing a lunch for two.

this is so lovely, yachi wanting kiyoko to go for her throat is my new favourite look but I love that even delinquent kiyoko is still gentle with her.
