Bonus Round 1: AUs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).


This popular round is back once again! To begin this year's SASO, we encourage you to let your mind run wild with alternate ideas and settings.


Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms. There's a comment template below for your convenience.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Izumi & Sakaeguchi). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Izumi/Sakaeguchi). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• An AU can be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [character] was the Team Captain instead of the canon captain character?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g., pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
• Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

It depends on what time period we're talking about, but in my opinion, Akashi as he is through most of the Winter Cup is absolutely capable of horrible things (and won't feel an ounce of regret for any of it). And I also love the emotional fallout that probably hits later when Akashi finally looks around and realizes what he's done.

It's old and really short, but for benchmarking this remains one of my favorite Akashi fic I've written.

Sakurai is difficult to say no to when he's pouting.

Aomine does anyway because it's the principle of the thing. Nobody tells him what to do; not the coach, not Imayoshi, not even Satsuki.

He says no, and Sakurai gets irritable.

The next thing he knows, Sakurai is pushing a collar and a leash into his face, telling him that if he's not going to take care of himself, if he's not going to listen to other people when they try to take care of him, then he isn't going to have a choice at all.

Aomine knows a good fight when he sees one, so he lets Sakurai put the collar around his neck, lets him clip the leash onto the D-ring attached to it. Then he digs his heels in.

"Is that the best you can do?" he taunts, and Sakurai's pout right now is nothing; Aomine's seen him much worse than this in games, when their opponents have been scoring too many threes and Sakurai feels the need to prove his superiority. He is superior, after all. At least on the basketball court. Aomine doesn't think that he's going to win this particular fight, but that's because Sakurai is up against Aomine. There's nobody in the world who can win this sort of thing.

Except Sakurai, damn him, knows Aomine too well for that. He tugs, letting Aomine dig his heels in again, then lets go.

Aomine falls with a loud, graceless, thud. Right onto the polished floor of the gym.

"You know what this leash is for," Sakurai tells him, resting his foot on Aomine's chest and pulling on the leash until it's taught. Aomine glowers up at him, but Sakurai is unapologetic now, his lower lip sticking out in the biggest pout that Aomine has ever seen. "You're not going to be late for practice any more because you're going to show up when I show up, and you're not going to leave until I'm ready to leave."

"How am I going to play basketball?" Aomine asks, tugging back on the leash just briefly, before it strains his neck. "Can't play with this thing on. I'd like to see you put it back on me."

"I'm not going to lose to you," Sakurai tells him firmly. "So you'd better do as I say, okay? Or else."

It's an empty threat and Aomine knows it, but he grins all the same, just for the way it makes Sakurai frown down at him a little more. "Yeah. Sure."

I love love love how Aomine's so convinced of his own superiority ad strength - AND THEN SAKURAI LETS HIM DEFEAT HIMSELF. SO GOOD.


I just laughd so much at how cute this is. Especially Aomine poking at Sakurai and the different descriptions of Sakurai's pouts. Absolutely love this, thanks so much!
