Bonus Round 2: Tic-Tac-Toe

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. There's a lot of text here, but if you read carefully and follow the instructions step by step, you will be okay.
RULES
Please refer to the first comment thread of this post for an example of how this round works.PROMPTING
- Select a ship to create your prompt card about. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Haruki & Kazuma). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Haruki/Kazuma). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- Visit this card generator.
- Here is a visual guide to using it.
- The large text box is where you can list prompts if you have your own ideas. Please list at least 9 prompts; you can list more if you want. (The generator says you need at least 24, but it's lying.) Single words or short phrases are better than sentences.
- Otherwise, you can use the dropdown menu found right below it. Note: some of these prompts lists are NSFW. (NSFW prompts are a-ok as long as you tag for it.) If you don't like some of the options that appear in a prompt list, you can delete them.
- Text prompts only, please. Also, each card square must be unique—don't list the same prompt 9 times.
- In "Configuration Options," make sure you select 3x3 and (Normal prompt). This is the most important step!
- Leave the tic-tac-toe card with its default colors, so everyone can read it clearly.
- Click the "Create a bingo card" button.
- Scroll down to see the card that was created for you. If you don't like the prompts it picked, you can reroll by clicking "Create a bingo card" again.
- When you're satisfied, scroll further down the page until you see a textarea box full of HTML.
- Copy and paste the HTML from the box and into the body of your prompt comment, then post!
FILLING
Fill prompts by selecting an individual square to create fanwork for, then leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work. (Optional:) If you can fill three squares from a prompt in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line, you get a tic-tac-toe (and an additional point bonus)! You can also just fill prompts as you please and get standard points.
- Prompt squares are labeled as follows:
A1 B1 C1 A2 B2 C2 A3 B3 C3 - If you're trying for tic-tac-toe, you cannot combine squares into one fill. If your fill can satisfy multiple squares, pick the most relevant square: e.g., one square is sailing and another is pirates and you make a fill about pirates sailing, it's mostly pirates so put down the pirates square.
- Each fill must stand alone as an individual piece, but all your fills can slot into a larger universe if you'd like.
- You cannot fill a prompt square more than once, but you can fill every square on a tic tac toe card if you want to.
- You cannot work with your teammates to get a tic-tac-toe. Only individually achieved tic-tac-toes get the bonus.
- Multiple people can fill the same prompt square. You cannot "block" others from getting tic-tac-toe.
- Remember to also follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
- Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

Re: FILL: TEAM DAIYA NO ACE, C2, G
i don't even have coherent words, this is exactly what i was thinking about with that prompt, my wonderful boys your three years weren't in vain, you found each other
also i love that this is so obviously koshien stadium, like, I'VE STOOD THERE, THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE did i mention i'm in love
Re: FILL: TEAM DAIYA NO ACE, C2, G
I can't take the entire credit though. The first picture is a redraw of a certain panel at the end of part 1. Ryousuke and Jun standing together watching the team they left behind and framed by the people around them, combined with Jun's narration about seeing koshien for yourself... this moment really stood out to me.
If I can find the time, I might have to come back and hit more of the prompts on this bingo card. clenches fist

The batting cages near Ryousuke’s place, Jun learns, are pretty rundown.
Everyone on the team’s split off and gone back over the winter break. Jun finds himself on the receiving end of an invitation to the Kominato’s hometown. With no solid plans himself, he figures a few days will be fine after he finally shows his face to his own family.
Heading over to the local sports centre was Ryousuke’s suggestion. Jun didn’t offer any resistance though, easy agreeing to the exercise rather than being cooped up indoors, even on a chilly day as this one. And of course, Ryousuke usurps Jun to start first.
He looks good. He always looks good. A slow bunt dribbling along the foul line, a line drive to the right, another sailing over the imaginary shortstop's head — he's got a good rhythm going, as Ryousuke nails each pitch with a confidence that seems to have followed him since they were plucky first years that he’s never quite lost.
They eventually switch places. Jun almost loses himself in the repetition, hits every oncoming ball with a wide swing. There’s no real consistency to it; sometimes there’s a dull clunk where he’s hit with something other than the bat’s sweet spot, but he forces each pitch to the back net through brute force. The blur of a white ball flies toward him, a shadow of a hot summer’s day and the memory of the sun bearing down upon his teammate’s backs flashes across his vision, and for a second, Jun zones out.
The ball smacks the chain-link fence behind him.
"About university," he starts. "I'm not gonna continue baseball."
Jun doesn’t turn around, but he can imagine the face his teammate must be wearing. Calm, maybe something resembling pity behind the sharp business end of his smile. As it is, he’s met with measured silence.
The pitching machine’s run empty, rumbles and stutters, hungry to refilled. They’re pretty much the only ones using the batting cages in the middle of the day, and there’s no more methodical clang of metal to punctuate the quiet. It’s stifling.
"Did Kansai not work out?" comes Ryousuke’s reply. It’s light, casual, and yet there’s a guardedness to his tone that Jun doesn’t care to decipher.
He clicks his tongue, a sharp tch escaping his lips. His irritation rises, threatening to boil over, something unpleasant and bitter stuck in his throat and that he can’t seem to swallow down. He doesn’t look up. Instead, he pats down his pockets, shakes the leg of his pants for any spare coins, ignoring that the grip on his bat seems to tighten.
"It was supposed to be baseball or nothing, no one’s gonna take me otherwise." Jun eventually grinds out, admitting to something he’s already spent months trying to accept. "I guess I wasn’t— OW, what the fuck—"
Hands fly up to cover the bruise blossoming on the crown of his head. Immediately, he levels a glare at Ryousuke, who’s managed to pull back the gate and join him without Jun even noticing.
The blade of Ryousuke’s hand pulls back, fingers held in a loose curl and a slight tilt to his head.
"Is that what you really want?"
There’s always something infuriating behind the knowing quirk in Ryousuke’s smile. He doesn’t dare to call it fond, but his spine pulls a little straighter upon the reminder his teammate is far too perceptive for his own damn good. No way he’s going to concede Ryousuke’s right out loud.
That ball arcing over his head and past the stands seems further away than it did yesterday.
Marching forward, Jun pushes past, dumping an armful of balls into the machine’s feeder, and stomping right back to the plate. He faces the machine head on as it readies itself, shooting the first pitch his way.
Pulling his shoulders back, he swings.
Re: FILL: TEAM DAIYA NO ACE, B3, G
I love this, it's so soft and understated and true to them, Ryousuke never goes easy on him and it works for both of them ♥♥♥
There's so much feeling and history there and I'm a happy puddle of goo ^_^
