Bonus Round 2: Tic-Tac-Toe

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. There's a lot of text here, but if you read carefully and follow the instructions step by step, you will be okay.
RULES
Please refer to the first comment thread of this post for an example of how this round works.PROMPTING
- Select a ship to create your prompt card about. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Haruki & Kazuma). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Haruki/Kazuma). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- Visit this card generator.
- Here is a visual guide to using it.
- The large text box is where you can list prompts if you have your own ideas. Please list at least 9 prompts; you can list more if you want. (The generator says you need at least 24, but it's lying.) Single words or short phrases are better than sentences.
- Otherwise, you can use the dropdown menu found right below it. Note: some of these prompts lists are NSFW. (NSFW prompts are a-ok as long as you tag for it.) If you don't like some of the options that appear in a prompt list, you can delete them.
- Text prompts only, please. Also, each card square must be unique—don't list the same prompt 9 times.
- In "Configuration Options," make sure you select 3x3 and (Normal prompt). This is the most important step!
- Leave the tic-tac-toe card with its default colors, so everyone can read it clearly.
- Click the "Create a bingo card" button.
- Scroll down to see the card that was created for you. If you don't like the prompts it picked, you can reroll by clicking "Create a bingo card" again.
- When you're satisfied, scroll further down the page until you see a textarea box full of HTML.
- Copy and paste the HTML from the box and into the body of your prompt comment, then post!
FILLING
Fill prompts by selecting an individual square to create fanwork for, then leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work. (Optional:) If you can fill three squares from a prompt in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line, you get a tic-tac-toe (and an additional point bonus)! You can also just fill prompts as you please and get standard points.
- Prompt squares are labeled as follows:
A1 B1 C1 A2 B2 C2 A3 B3 C3 - If you're trying for tic-tac-toe, you cannot combine squares into one fill. If your fill can satisfy multiple squares, pick the most relevant square: e.g., one square is sailing and another is pirates and you make a fill about pirates sailing, it's mostly pirates so put down the pirates square.
- Each fill must stand alone as an individual piece, but all your fills can slot into a larger universe if you'd like.
- You cannot fill a prompt square more than once, but you can fill every square on a tic tac toe card if you want to.
- You cannot work with your teammates to get a tic-tac-toe. Only individually achieved tic-tac-toes get the bonus.
- Multiple people can fill the same prompt square. You cannot "block" others from getting tic-tac-toe.
- Remember to also follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
- Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

It's the small things that his heart holds onto; the hot summer days and the way Kuroko's skin would feel against his as their arms brushed together while walking. Kuroko, a constant presence by his side that he no longer needs to concentrate on, but relies on instead, whether they're on the basketball court or anywhere else. The rest of their teammates know it too, like it's an unspoken rule. If they're looking for Kuroko, it's easier to find Kagami first, and then look to his side. It's almost always guaranteed to work.
Even on their days off from practice, they end up walking side by side, sleeves rolled up in an attempt to escape the heat, ice cream dripping down their cones and all over their hands, no matter how much they try to stop it.
Kuroko's laugh is light, and Kagami thinks about how he doesn't hear it often enough. He smiles often enough but his laughs aren't quite as common, and Kagami wonders what he can do about that, just so he can hear it more. He wonders how easy it would be, to make Kuroko laugh.
Nigou peeks out of Kuroko's bag and startles Kagami enough that he nearly drops his ice cream. Kuroko snickers quietly, ducking his head, and Kagami feels the back of his neck burning, supposing that he has his answer now, in one way or another.
"Let's go to that park," Kuroko decides, leading the way.
Kagami follows him, licking up all the melting ice cream from the side of his cone. Kuroko goes to one of the benches, sitting there and leaving enough space for Kagami. Their sides are pressed against each other and even though it's a hot day Kagami finds that he doesn't mind this, even though it's Kuroko, or maybe because it's Kuroko. He tries to think of why that is.
"You make a particular face when you're thinking too hard," Kuroko tells him, pulling Kagami out of his thoughts. He makes a face, possibly copying the one that Kagami is making. "Keeping thoughts to yourself doesn't suit you very much."
"I guess not," Kagami mutters, shaking his head.
"So what are you thinking so hard about?" Kuroko asks, looking up at him.
"This," Kagami replies, and leans down to press his lips to Kuroko's. Their kiss tastes like ice cream, but Kagami isn't as focused on that as he is on the fact that Kuroko is kissing back.
"That's not something you should just be thinking about," Kuroko tells him seriously. He smiles at Kagami. "Do it again."

i've never gone cicada hunting either, kagami

“It’s so loud,” Kagami says.
“It’s their mating season,” Tetsuya replies, scooting over so the other boy can sit. The house is old, with shoji screen partitions and wooden ceilings, tatami flooring that squeaks in particular corners of the room and strings for light-switches. The kind of house you’d find out in the countryside. Tetsuya remembers visiting more often when he was a child, but as school picked up, this is the first time in a long time he’s visited his maternal grandparents.
Kagami kicks at his barefeet lightly. “I didn’t need to know that, Kuroko.”
“But you’re supposed to learn something new every day, Kagami-kun.”
Tetsuya doesn’t bother ducking out of Kagami’s reach when the other swats at his head. They sit in comfortable silence, staring out past the fence of the backyard, where trees obscure half the night sky. Cicada song surrounds them, loud and endless, almost overwhelming. Night has fallen completely, and if Tetsuya raises his head, he can see tiny specks of stars scattered across the dark sky. He hasn’t seen stars in a long, long time.
“Kagami-kun,” Tetsuya says, “have you ever gone cicada hunting?”
Kagami screws up his face as he considers. Tetsuya finds his eyes tracing the way his weird eyebrows scrunch together, his dark eyes lazily trailing across his grandmother’s plants, the quirk of his lips as he frowns thoughtfully. Kagami is all rough edges and large straightforward movements, the bare minimum of grace and yet Tetsuya finds it all too endearing. Kagami is warmth, the taste of sweat under summer sun, the feeling of ice cold water splashing onto his head.
“Nah,” Kagami says. He leans back on his hands, legs stretched out on the porch. He takes up nearly twice as much space as Tetsuya does. But that’s fine. There’s plenty of space here to share. “Grew up in the States, wasn’t that popular a thing where I lived.”
“What did you do in the summer then?”
“What else? Played basketball.” Kagami glances over then, and Tetsuya still likes the little jolt down his spine when their eyes meet. This boy sitting beside him, miles from Tokyo and away from city lights, with his grandparents retired to bed already, is like Tetsuya’s own secret to indulge in. “You don’t look like you were the bug-catching type of kid, you know.”
Tetsuya turns his face towards the cicadas singing away in the forest. “No. But I often played by myself, and there are quite a lot of cicada husks around here.”
Kagami shudders. “Please don’t go into any more details.”
“They’re kind of pretty, in a grossly fascinating way.” Tetsuya smiles. “Maybe we should go cicada hunting tomorrow.”
“Do we have to?”
Tetsuya widens his eyes innocently. “You want to stay here and play shogi with my grandpa?”
“Let’s go,” Kagami says immediately.
Tetsuya laughs. There’s a startled pause before Kagami joins in. The sound of their laughter blends in with the relentless noise of thousands of cicadas chorusing in the distance, and Tetsuya realizes with a soft, slow feeling of night breeze ruffling his hair—he’s happy.

“Are you sure this is the right way?”
“Do you doubt my navigation skills, Kagami-kun?”
Taiga sighs. It’s not that he doubts Kuroko—he never has, not from that first determined promise in an empty basketball court on that fateful evening—but it’s dark, they’re far away from the inn the team has booked, and Taiga’s pretty sure he just gained at least nine new mosquito bites. He hopes it’s just mosquito bites, anyway.
There’s not a single soul out here on this tiny trail. Tall grass brushes their arms as they step further into the meadows. The map says there’s a lake hidden near here. All Taiga can hear is the call of cicadas in the distance and the hum of other bugs and was that a frog? Taiga isn’t a scaredy-cat, but he has been born and raised as a city boy all his life, so it’s a bit of an understatement to say he’s not a fan of bugs. He has no idea what’s out here hiding in the soft grass. He kind of wants to go back to his room, roll up safely in his futon... But here is Kuroko’s back in front of him, his pale hair illuminated by the moonlight as he moves steadily forwards, never faltering.
Taiga can slam dunk basketballs ten times in a row, but he has never claimed to be strong enough to resist a certain ghost-like boy with the bluest eyes he has ever laid eyes on.
“Kagami-kun.”
Taiga nearly runs over the other boy when he stops. He has his mouth open but immediately forgets what he was going to say when he lifts his gaze and catches sight of them.
Fireflies. Little glowing dots around the water edge, floating gently above the grass, drifting lazily overhead. Taiga isn’t one for fantasy, but he can’t deny the magic of this sight.
“Wow,” he breathes out.
“It’s beautiful,” Kuroko agrees. He steps forwards, a hand raised slightly. Taiga watches as the other boy stands impossibly still, and slowly, a single firefly comes over and hovers curiously over him.
There’s a small smile on Kuroko’s face. It’s the barest of tugs on his lips, a slight widening of his eyes. Under the soft glow of the fireflies, he looks absolutely ethereal.
Taiga almost forgets to admire the lightning bugs around them, so busy admiring the boy in front of him.
When the night chill has finally caught up to them, and the mosquito bites are too much, they turn back towards the inn. They don’t talk, still in awe of the golden glow. Shyly, Taiga reaches out with a hand. With a soft smile, Kuroko takes it, and they take their time returning, fingers linked together with the quiet warmth of the bugs they leave behind.
