Bonus Round 2: Tic-Tac-Toe
Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. There's a lot of text here, but if you read carefully and follow the instructions step by step, you will be okay.
RULES
Please refer to the first comment thread of this post for an example of how this round works.PROMPTING
- Select a ship to create your prompt card about. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Haruki & Kazuma). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Haruki/Kazuma). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- Visit this card generator.
- Here is a visual guide to using it.
- The large text box is where you can list prompts if you have your own ideas. Please list at least 9 prompts; you can list more if you want. (The generator says you need at least 24, but it's lying.) Single words or short phrases are better than sentences.
- Otherwise, you can use the dropdown menu found right below it. Note: some of these prompts lists are NSFW. (NSFW prompts are a-ok as long as you tag for it.) If you don't like some of the options that appear in a prompt list, you can delete them.
- Text prompts only, please. Also, each card square must be unique—don't list the same prompt 9 times.
- In "Configuration Options," make sure you select 3x3 and (Normal prompt). This is the most important step!
- Leave the tic-tac-toe card with its default colors, so everyone can read it clearly.
- Click the "Create a bingo card" button.
- Scroll down to see the card that was created for you. If you don't like the prompts it picked, you can reroll by clicking "Create a bingo card" again.
- When you're satisfied, scroll further down the page until you see a textarea box full of HTML.
- Copy and paste the HTML from the box and into the body of your prompt comment, then post!
FILLING
Fill prompts by selecting an individual square to create fanwork for, then leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work. (Optional:) If you can fill three squares from a prompt in a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal line, you get a tic-tac-toe (and an additional point bonus)! You can also just fill prompts as you please and get standard points.
- Prompt squares are labeled as follows:
A1 B1 C1 A2 B2 C2 A3 B3 C3 - If you're trying for tic-tac-toe, you cannot combine squares into one fill. If your fill can satisfy multiple squares, pick the most relevant square: e.g., one square is sailing and another is pirates and you make a fill about pirates sailing, it's mostly pirates so put down the pirates square.
- Each fill must stand alone as an individual piece, but all your fills can slot into a larger universe if you'd like.
- You cannot fill a prompt square more than once, but you can fill every square on a tic tac toe card if you want to.
- You cannot work with your teammates to get a tic-tac-toe. Only individually achieved tic-tac-toes get the bonus.
- Multiple people can fill the same prompt square. You cannot "block" others from getting tic-tac-toe.
- Remember to also follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

Fills 11-20: 5 points each

They try holding hands.
Only, Chihaya's palms get too sweaty from how flustered she is, and Shinobu can't seem to stop gripping too tightly at times.
"This is harder than I thought," Chihaya says mournfully.
"It is," comes Shinobu's assent, although she's reluctant on giving up so easily. Maybe, she can grab Chihaya's hand again much later on, once they're both more relaxed.
(Or maybe she won't, because her heart had started beating way too fast as her fingers lay tangled with Chihaya's. She's not sure if she wants to relive that particular sensation just yet.)
"Let's go and try do something else," she offers instead.
The way that Chihaya immediately perks up brings her a sense of satisfaction so great that it resembles the rush she feels whenever she's successfully defended her title as Queen from anyone who dares come to challenge-- particularly if it's Chihaya.

They try hand-feeding each other.
The sun's out so the day's warm and mild, making it perfect weather for picnics. They find a spot under one of the many blooming sakura trees and settle down after setting a mat, and their bento on one of its side.
Chihaya's bento is made up of onigiri, small pork cutlets, octopus sausages and cherry tomatoes. Shinobu had gone for something lighter instead: a pack of red bean paste buns, all in circular Snowmaru shapes.
Here, Chihaya peers at one of them and it's obvious how much she wants to try it from the way her lips are mashed together, making them turn cherry-red. Before Chihaya can stall in asking any longer, Shinobu casually brings the bun and presses it to her mouth.
"Aah," Shinobu intones.
Chihaya opens her mouth obediently and closes her teeth around the bread.
(She tries to ignore the heat creeping along the back of her neck when her fingers brushes against Chihaya's chapped lips.)
"Your turn too!" Chihaya then exclaims, picking a sausage up with her chopsticks, and sails her hand towards Shinobu. In her haste, however, she ends up poking it against her girlfriend's nose instead. It slides down, leaving an oily track on her face.
Shinobu slowly surmises that this date is decidedly taking after a pattern of its own, one that would involve the both of them fumbling.
A lot.

Unsurprisingly, they do.

Lastly, they try kissing.
"In public?" Chihaya wants to confirm, ready for Shinobu to back out if she needs to, considering her auspicious background and the way the rest of society around them in the park might judge.
But Shinobu has long wanted to give no care to them, she wants to rebel in her own ways and carve her life in the way she truly desires.
She says of course and kisses Chihaya.
It's the only thing that doesn't go wrong during their date today; their silver lining.

"It's funny."
Shinobu turns to look at Chihaya, regards the look of wonder spreading slow across her face, as if she's just chanced upon a very important realisation and can't help but want to share it with someone.
(She supposes that that someone is her, this time.)
She's just helped Chihaya put her hair up in Snowmaru buns, the style Chihaya's been making moon eyes at ever since she first saw Shinobu compete wearing them. T-they wouldn't suit me! Chihaya had protested, weakly, as Shinobu ran her fingers through her soft, auburn hair; Shinobu only gave her a squint and said what are you so scared of? looking good?, and that shut her up, made her finally relent, with red blooms sitting high on Chihaya's cheekbones.
Now, she taps a finger on one of Chihaya's hair buns, testing its tensile strength. Satisfied when it doesn't unravel, she settles beside Chihaya again.
"What is?" She asks.
"You." Chihaya flashes wide eyes at her, her smile the kind of warm that makes Shinobu's heart do a weird little stutter. "It's funny how whenever I'm with you, I feel like…things could be alright."
"Really?" Shinobu blinks, clearly not expecting the topic of today's musing to be centred on her. Her fingers fidget against her lap. "How so?"
"In many ways!" Excited to have Shinobu reciprocrate the conversation, Chihaya spreads her arms in the air for as far as she can stretch, indicating anything and everything that falls within their distance is just how much Shinobu has, unwittingly, done for her. "When we practice together, I feel that it's okay to lose, every once in a while. It sucks then, but!" One of her hands comes down as a fist pump. "I know I'll get you back for it later, that I'll have my share of wins as well."
"Hah, we'll see about that." Shinobu tries to hide how piqued she is by Chihaya's train of thoughts with a vicious smile, very much bent on not giving an inch no matter whether it'll be their next training session or a Queen's title match.
"Not just that, being with you, talking with you, just-- just anything with you makes me feel so much better," Chihaya continues, now on a roll. Her words do not waver and neither does the joy on her face. "University doesn't scare me as much as it used to because you're here, because I come back to you at the end of the day and you're there waiting for me, to listen and to hold me. Karuta is always all the more fun, too, when it's you who's facing me on the other side."
Chihaya takes a deep breath then in a bid to steady herself.
Shinobu keeps quiet for a whole minute, letting silence fall comfortably around them.
"I see." She says, slowly. "It's funny too, I guess."
Chihaya tilts her head inquiringly.
She smiles. "How you make everything feel okay for me, too."
