- Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (1-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Lilia & Sara). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Lilia/Sara). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
- Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
- Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.

"At some point, Nekoma's going to need their striker back."
Suga sounds tense through the static in Yuu's earpiece.
"More to the point," Daichi says, "Tanaka's going to have some sort of aneurysm if we keep him on the team with Yamamoto-san." The smile in his voice sounds forced.
Kiyoko's voice is almost too quiet to make out: "We're not going to be able to borrow from any other units for a while, now--it's heating up."
Yuu grits his teeth and continues his check of the unit's internal surveillance equipment. After the newbies' team had hit a shipment of regime electronics last month, the inside video feeds have slowly been being repaired, but priority had gone to the external cameras. Front entrance (disguised as a broken dishwasher), back entrance (aluminium sheeting), riverside entrance... Yuu flicks through each channel, careful, careful, but still with half his concentration running logistics for the unit. That static's getting worse, and he'll have to do something about it. It's miraculous the audio wiring has held out as long as it has, all things considered--some of it is original from when the Small Giant had first founded the Karasuno cell of the Movement.
At some point, Nekoma's going to need Yamamoto back.
"Hey Nishinoya-san," Yamaguchi says as he ducks under the doorframe to the unofficial security officer's room.
Yuu grunts a reply, still absorbed in the twin familiar problems of Karasuno's striker and Karasuno's defences. Yamamoto had heard some buzz through his unit's network that there'd be rolls and rolls of copper wire coming in to a warehouse by the docks next week. Their current audio line is just copper-coated aluminium, so it'd be a step up.
He bites his lip where a thick line of scar tissue intersects it, and reminds himself that Asahi's a coward.
"Nishinoya-san, what should I do first? I was thinking someone should do maintenance on the dump, make sure the rain didn't shift anything too important, but does that sound like a good plan?" Yamaguchi's still a little cautious, a little deferent when he doesn't need to be. Yuu doesn't mind, though.
"Nah," he says, abruptly making up his mind. "I'll go take care of that. Keep an eye on the cameras while I'm out."
He's on his feet and on his way out the door before Yamaguchi has finished accepting the shift in tasks.
"Sure! But that's..." Not the right direction for the exit.
Yuu knows.
---
The new room Asahi had claimed for himself six months ago is, predictably, as far away from the outside world as is possible in their unit. His old room had been theirs.
"Asahi," Yuu calls, and braces his hands on either side of the doorframe, plants his feet shoulder width apart. "Time's up!"
There's no sound from inside, but Yuu's been ignored by Asahi before, and he knows how it goes.
"I know you can hear me! Yachi told me she could hear me shout from two floors away."
Fabric rustles, and the thought of Asahi leaning against the door, sliding down, curling up on the floor crystallises perfectly in Yuu's head. He stays standing, but lowers his volume.
"Yamamoto's going back to Nekoma soon," he says. "We won't have a strike leader anymore, we don't have anyone else with the training on the big guns."
He's thinking that Hinata could do it.
Yuu scoffs. "He's so green I'm surprised he doesn't photosynthesise. He's not an option."
Someday, though, it'll come to that. He's small, so they've been able to use him for stealth, and for quick smash'n'grabs when he's on a team with Kageyama and Yachi, but someday he's going to be a heavy-hitter. He says as much every few minutes, it seems, but Yuu's seen that light in people's eyes before. He knows it's not an empty promise--Hinata's going to be a second Small Giant, for better or for worse.
"I don't--" Asahi's voice is low and rumbly, carrying well across rooms. He probably wishes it didn't. "I don't want to see them get hurt."
"I know," Yuu says. One hand lets go of the doorframe to drop to his side, and rub the spot where his index finger had healed crooked from a break. "But they're going to get hurt one way or another." They're already with the Movement. They've already put targets on their backs.
"I don't want to see it," Asahi repeats, and Yuu understands him this time.
He swallows past the knot in his throat, tamps down on the injustice, the desire for this struggle to be over already. Maybe if Asahi had left early on, had switched to a non-violent part of the Movement... He could've been a teacher in one of the underground education centres. He could've run a farm off the grid and supplied the units in the city. He wouldn't've been caught on security camera detonating a regime munitions store, and would never have gotten into fire fights protecting Movement interests, or raiding regime weak points.
But: "You can't leave," Yuu says.
The door opens inwards, stirring a swirl of air against his face.
"I want to, sometimes," Asahi admits.
Yuu's seen Asahi around the unit within the last few months--it's not so large that two people can effectively avoid each other, no matter the circumstances. But he hadn't really looked, before, hadn't seen the deep purple circles under his eyes, the skin on his lips worried raw and peeling.
His grip tightens on the doorframe. "That doesn't matter," he says. "We're getting closer."
"Don't lie to me," Asahi snaps. Yuu prides himself for the fact that Asahi doesn't look immediately embarrassed after raising his voice.
"We are!" Yuu insists. "You haven't been out there in months--"
"Oh, you're one to talk!"
"--the energy on the streets, the way people treat the officials... We have more informants in the regime than ever before. Tanaka says there's momentum, real momentum."
"What does Daichi say?" Asahi's always the same, totally incapable of generating hope on his own, but with such weak barriers to it when someone else offers it up. Yuu used to wish for Asahi's sake that he had more of a backbone; now, he's hoping for Karasuno's sake that Asahi still doesn't.
"Daichi's cautious," Yuu says. "Obviously. But you should ask him yourself. He'll tell you we can do this, if all the units just hold out." He looks Asahi in the eye and hopes. "If we have full units, that is."
---
Yuu sleeps in Asahi's room that night. At first he's unwilling to let go until he's wrested a commitment to get back in the field out of him, and then after that he's just unwilling to let go because... Well, it's been six months, and he's missed the way Asahi feels. And now Asahi's going back out in the field.
Yuu keeps a quiet catalogue: Asahi still has callouses on his hands, so he must have been keeping up his training. Asahi still likes to run his calloused hands along Yuu's back, pausing at freckles and scars. Asahi still kisses like he's afraid Yuu's going to disappear.
In the morning, Asahi pulls a box out from under his bunk. It contains sturdy boots, gloves, spare ammunition (that he absolutely should've kept in the armoury instead, but Yuu's not going to bring that up right now), lightweight body armour, and large, worn goggles. The gear isn't dusty or dirty, but it smells like the ozone discharge of a stun-gun, and most of it has a stain of rust-brown blood somewhere on it.
"That's yours," Asahi says, and pokes the right glove, the whole palm of which is stained. The bags under his eyes haven't faded, but the cast of Asahi's shoulders is looser than yesterday, and Yuu wants to keep it that way.
"Yeah," he says, "but don't make a big thing of it." He puts the glove on, flaps the too-long fingers at Asahi. "Look, we're reunited! All better."
Asahi laughs reluctantly, and grabs at the glove. "Give that back."
Yuu does, and laughs, and waits for the decision he made to feel good. He suspects it won't happen for a while, not until Karasuno's regained its balance and had a few good missions with their own striker again. It might not happen until Asahi tells him he's okay with his role again.
Still, he knows had to be done. The best defence is a good offence, and Asahi's the best offence they've got.

This is SO AMAZING, I really love resistance AUs and you did this one so beautifully. The focus on the team and all the little cameos are fantastic, they really help to flesh out what it’s like in their resistance. Also the idea of Nishnoya with a SCAR on his mouth and calling Asahi a coward MY HEART.
I love how Nishinoya knows exactly how Asahi would curl up too. The so green/photosynthesise line was hilarious but also that description of Hinata AH PERFECT WOW YES.
I am just so 100% here for Nishinoya believing in Asahi even when Asahi doesn’t. And the tiny details about the broken index finger healing crooked, and how Asahi could have been better at something else but is HERE now.
totally incapable of generating hope on his own, but with such weak barriers to it when someone else offers it up
That line perfectly encapsulates the best and worst of Asahi at once and I’m screaming. And I love love love Nishinoya feeling guilty because he knows this isn’t the best thing for Asahi but it’s the best thing for the Movement and just. FLAILING Thank you for this amazing fill! It’s so good and meaty and detailed, I just want to hug it forever!

When the war first starts, everyone expects it to be short-lived. They take only those who want to go, sending them off with great fanfare just before the spring planting begins.
Everyone expects them to return by midsummer at the latest, but despite several more waves of fighters who volunteer their services, the war drags on. When midsummer finally comes, word back from the front is growing desperate. They need every body that can be spared.
It's in the final wave that Asahi is sent. He knows it's coming, but he stays in his fields until the very end; it's not until two soldiers come for him in person that he lays down his hoe and lets them give him a spear instead. It's a clear sign of how desperate things have become. Asahi is tall, a looming presence who will fight fiercely for things he cares about, but he doesn't care about the war, and he wasn't made for fighting. They need him desperately, but even if he survives the battlefields, no one expects him to come back alive.
They send Noya with him. Noya doesn't care about the war, but he cares about Asahi. He's given one task before he leaves: bring Asahi home. No one says it out loud, but everyone knows.
Noya takes his duty seriously; he's not powerful the way Asahi is, but he's quick and lithe, darting into openings others don't see. It's an unusual pairing, but he and Asahi are a deadly combination on the battlefield. They fight back to back, and they're so used to each other's presence that they always find their way back together quickly, even if the fighting forces them apart.
It's not until after the battles that Noya truly makes good on his promise. He sends Asahi back to the camp to help with the horses and weapons while he joins in scouring the battlefield for the wounded, and those too wounded to be saved. When they set the guard schedules, Noya takes on extra shifts by the healers' tents so that Asahi's shifts can all be on the other side of the camp, away from the screams.
The battles drag on into autumn, but the end is finally in sight. Noya thinks they're finally going to make it home…until a crossbow bolt shatters Asahi's shin. The enemy surrenders later that day, but that's too late to Noya. He helps Asahi to the healers, and he knows he'll never forget the way Asahi screams as the surgeon amputates his leg at the knee. Or worse, the way Asahi falls into breathless gasps when the pain gets to be too much even for that.
But Noya brings Asahi home in the end, Asahi's arm slung over his shoulder as they come around the final bend to the fields Asahi loves. Everyone in the village is gentle with Asahi as he heals—almost too gentle, Noya thinks, for he's seen Asahi in battle, and he knows Asahi is far less fragile than people assume.
It's not until Asahi is well down the path to recovery that the war begins to catch up to Noya. Once he's home, and safe, and no longer worrying about two lives every day, all of the horrors he pushed aside at the front start creeping back. It's not the obvious things that get to him either; those he can prepare for or avoid. It's the little, seemingly innocuous things that catch him off guard without warning.
Someone asks him to help search for a lost lamb, and suddenly he's back on the battlefield searching for their local guide. The rain hides her tracks, but Noya finally finds her on the game trail by the cliffs. She has her hands pressed to a dark stain on her stomach, and Noya knows at a glance that the wound is fatal; no one survives the infection that inevitably sets in.
The guide smiles and whispers her thanks when Noya finds her, and Noya thinks he deserves none of that gratitude. She's still smiling as he draws his dagger, and the last traces of a smile are still lingering on her lips when Noya pushes her body into the river below.
He comes back to himself shaking and breathless and at a loss for words. Luckily, Asahi is there with him and offers to help with the search in Noya's stead. Asahi may not have been there that day, but was in the war, so he understands.
Another day, the town is celebrating as they raise a new barn to help winter the livestock. It's foggy, and the voices and clatter drown out everything else. Noya's mind throws him back into the army camp without warning, to a day when the hammering from the smiths let the enemy creep up unnoticed in the fog and ambush them.
Noya withdraws more after that, effectively moving into Asahi's house and rarely venturing back down into the rest of the village. Asahi was there with him, so Asahi understands, but no one else can. No matter how bad the day, Asahi is always there as a steady, reassuring presence despite the lingering demons of his own. He doesn't receive any of the public recognition Noya did, but they both know that his role is just as valuable, and as thankless.
Noya may have carried Asahi home from the war, but it's Asahi who carries Noya through the peace that follows.

Asahi paced nervously backstage. The finals were starting in only fifteen minutes. In fifteen short, measly minutes he would have to go out on that stage for the entire world to see.
He started to anxiously open and close his hands, trying not to clench them too hard into fists. He hears a production assistant yell out that they only have ten more minutes before the match will begin.
A gentle hand takes his hand into their palm and stops his latest round of nervous gestures, which comprised of flicking his fingers open and closed.
“Nervous, Asahi-san?” He looked away from production assistants, camera people, and coffee interns getting ready for the game to see his teammate Nishinoya looking up at him. Unlike Asahi, his face shows his excitement, and his body is practically vibrating with energy.
“A little,” Asahi replied, trying to play it off with a smile, but failing miserably. His tall form slumps and he puts his hand in his hair, pulling and twisting at the ends.
“You look shorter than I do when you slump like that,” Noya laughed, light and airy, like he didn’t have a care in the world. He laughed like the fact that they would be on the world stage wasn’t a bother to him in the slightest. “You better get that look off your face before Suga-san looks over here.”
Asahi really does smile at that, thinking about his friend’s unusual way of showing his love. Noya nods to himself, like he’s successfully brought Asahi out of his pre-match anxiety spiral.
“How are you so confident?” Asahi asked. He had been wanting to ask for a while, wondering how his shorter friend could always act like he didn’t have a care in the world, especially when they were about to have the most important game of their lives.
Noya got a contemplative look on his face. “Truthfully?”
Asahi nodded.
“Sometimes I do get nervous, but, in that moment, I think about how I have the best players I know playing right beside me, especially my favorite DPS player in the entire world.” He gives Asahi a knowing look before continuing, “I think about I much I trust you guys to do your jobs so I can do mine. I trust the amount of hours that we’ve put into this. And... and I know that you guys will be fighting to the very end no matter what.”
Noya clasped his hands around the edges of his team jacket and flares it out around himself, “I’m proud to be wearing this jacket. There’s no one else I would rather play with.”
Asahi stands in awe. He knew they were lucky to have someone as talented as Noya playing support for them, but he thinks that he’s only just realized how amazing it is to have a friend like him.
“Of course,” Nishinoya quirked a sly smile, “You could just think about this instead.” He pulls on the ends of Asahi’s jacket, pulling him down towards him. Noya slowly slips up onto his tiptoes and leans in towards Asahi, giving him plenty of time to pull away.
He doesn’t.
They kiss. Asahi’s entire world taken up by the feeling, smell, and love of Nishinoya. The chaos of backstage fades away and Asahi is only left with the feeling of Noya’s lips on his. He pulls back, hearing the the ends of the wolf whistles his teammates are sending his way.
Noya smiles at him, and pulling gently at his hand said, “Come on, we got to go hear Daichi’s pre-match pep talk. We can kiss more after we win Worlds.”
Asahi smiles back, words full of promise, “Yeah, after we win Worlds.”
