Bonus Round 3: FSTs

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.
RULES
- Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (1-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Lilia & Sara). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Lilia/Sara). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
- Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
- Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
- Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

They meet for the first time when they're all of eight years old and Tatsuya is excited by the thought that Taiga is just like him. Someone ordinary, in a world full of metahumans, with no special abilities, no idea of anything that he could even be good at.
It's easier playing with Taiga than it is playing with the other kids in the neighbourhood, whose bodies are already beginning to show the signs of the powers that they're going to start growing into over the next few years. The girl who lives next door to him is already starting to go invisible sometimes, one body part at a time. One of the boys Tatsuya used to play basketball with isn't allowed to play any more, ever since he created a shock wave after landing a particularly hard jump.
Taiga is better than all of the other kids, though. He's plain. He's kind, he's impressed when Tatsuya shows off, and for the first time in his life, Tatsuya feels like he doesn't need to have been born with any sort of power to actually be worth something.
It's just his luck that it begins to change, just as he's getting comfortable with the thought of being able to live his entire life with Taiga, pretending to be content in his mediocrity because he isn't the only one.
He's the first one to have any sort of inkling that Taiga is changing at all. He notices it in the way Taiga slaps his back a little harder when they're joking around, the way his reflexes suddenly seem sharper one day. He doesn't mention in, letting it sit bitter at the back of his throat as he watches Taiga change, growing bigger than him, stronger than him, faster than him, better than him.
It's not Taiga's fault, and Tatsuya knows that. It doesn't stop him from feeling resentful all the same.
"You're a metahuman," Tatsuya mutters one day, when they're sitting in the nearby park together. He isn't looking at Taiga because he thought that he'd start hating what he sees but instead, he just wants, and he doesn't know if that's born from envy, or something else entirely. "Can't you see it, Taiga? You're not—you're not…"
Like me, Tatsuya thinks bitterly. Not the way Tatsuya so desperately wanted him to be.
Taiga doesn't reply immediately, but his silence is enough to tell Tatsuya that he's figured it out himself too. He's probably been waiting for Tatsuya to bring it up, to give into all of the resentment sitting just under the surface. Taiga's probably been expecting the worst from Tatsuya, because that's apparently all that Tatsuya is capable of.
With a deep breath, and a slow exhale, Taiga says, "I'm sorry."
"You know what this means," Tatsuya says, fingers closing around the ring that hangs from his neck. He could pull it from its chain right now, drop it to the floor and walk away.
He holds onto it though, gripping it so tightly that if he had Taiga's strength, he'd probably end up crushing it.
In the end, he sits there in silence until it's Taiga who gets up and walks away.
Re: FILL: TEAM KAGEYAMA TOBIO/OIKAWA TOORU, G
i love the examples you showed of the other kids developing powers--it was a really realistic and grounded way to approach it, to give a glimpse of how a society with metahumans function
and wtf the fact that it's kagami's plainness and ordinariness that makes him special to himuro is SO sweet but also kind of fucked in the same time, as you do
It's not Taiga's fault, and Tatsuya knows that. It doesn't stop him from feeling resentful all the same. this is like, himuro as a character. you got him
Taiga's probably been expecting the worst from Tatsuya, because that's apparently all that Tatsuya is capable of. i'm so sad becasue we ALL know that is the last thing kagami thinks, ever, but this bitter young version of himuro can't fathom anything but :(
u broke my heart as always
