Bonus Round 3: FSTs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Profess your love for your favorite ships with the power of song! In this round, we ask you to create fan soundtracks and use them as inspiration for new fanwork.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES

• Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (1-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
• Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Lilia & Sara). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Lilia/Sara). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
• Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

The last ball hits the court floors with a thud that resounds in their hearts.

Oikawa doesn't swallow the lump coagulating in his throat; it's hard to speak like this, but he pushes on, tries to pull words that he sincerely means from the complicated tangle of emotions stuck in his mind right now, and they spill out as such: It hurts, Iwa-chan, a lot more than I expected it to.

Idiot. The usual reproach sounds a little hoarse at its edges, watery even. There is no fire to it now that there is no reason for it to be so. When Iwaizumi slinks an arm around Oikawa's shoulders, it is to both offer and take comfort, so they share each other quietly, and watch as the activity in the gym winds down.

The first years race through the floors with mops, shoes squeaking as they skid in their haste to finish up, and their laughter rings through the air when one of them inevitably falls.

Balls are collected and placed into trolleys, which are then promptly rolled off towards the store rooms at the back.

There are the quick, sharp sounds of high-fives being slapped; good work today's chorused like yet another class greeting.

A tired, tired flump the nets let out as they are dismantled and lowered to the ground.

Lights flickering stubbornly before finally deciding that, yes, they should remain off.

Then, utter silence.

It feels like they've just witnessed a funeral for a death they do not want to come to terms with yet, and perhaps, the pain they feel is their grief.

The evening fades into twilight, painting the gym in colours of the sunset and it makes everything look prettier than it should be, as befitting a farewell: Goodbye, goodbye, maybe we'll see you again in another time, another life.

It is with a reverent slowness that Oikawa bows down, paying a long due respect to the gym for having housed the team, for having them there as graciously as the building could in the last three years. Iwaizumi silently follows suit, and after that, they take their leave.

"We have to be thankful, y'know." Iwaizumi breaks their silence. He brushes his shoulders against Oikawa's, leaves a tingle of warmth in its wake that dips its way into the corners of his heart. "That we can still feel this sad over something."

"Maybe," he replies, agreeably, and skitters his fingers against the pulse point of Iwaizumi's left wrist, containing the beat of it within his grasp, like a vice clamp, and marvels over how steady its rythm is-- a constant he can call his. He looks up to the skies then, and just for today, he relents, he'll give in; the sadness is allowed to reveal itself today.

Together, they mourn their last day as members of Seijou's volleyball club.

(Goodbye, goodbye, we'll be on our way now.)

wehs softly this is such a lovely piece, the details, the slow saying goodbye to something you loved, love, something you'll remember for a long time to come, a reminder that this is the natural progression of things, even if you don't want it to be.
