Bonus Round 3: FSTs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Profess your love for your favorite ships with the power of song! In this round, we ask you to create fan soundtracks and use them as inspiration for new fanwork.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES

• Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (1-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
• Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Lilia & Sara). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Lilia/Sara). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
• Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

• 14 lines (poetry)

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

The minute I saw Gorillaz I knew I had to jump on this prompt! This song always make me feel at peace, but so very sad simultaneously.
This jumps from past to present throughout the story, I hope it’s clear. I also hope you enjoy my interpretation of the song lyrics.

It’s been four years.
It’s been four years since Makishima left.
It’s been four, melancholic years since Onoda started waiting.

“See you in a month, Onoda.” Was what Makishima had said, as his fingers ran through Onoda’s short hair. Onoda can still recall the feeling of Makishima’s shaky fingertips massaging his scalp. They both knew he’d never return.


Onoda squeezes the handles of his road racer and pedals faster uphill.


Onoda hugged him one last time just as the words “I’ll miss you” slipped from his lips. He hid his face in the crook of his neck, refusing to let Makishima see him vulnerable once more. Those “encouraging senpai” and “apprehensive student” days were long gone.

Makishima had returned the favor with a halfhearted squeeze. “You know you can write me whenever you’re feeling lone-”

“As if you’d write back.” Onoda cut in with a broken laugh. “You never write back.”

Makishima opted for silence and pulled away, his fingers dug into Onoda’s shoulders. Onoda wanted to cry at the paleness of Makishima’s skin. His green hair stood out even more beneath the airports lights. Onoda almost wept at the visible veins, it was artistic yet so very sad, but despite that, Makishima still attempted to smile.

Makishima was truly beautiful on and off his bike.

“Thank you for seeing me off Sakamichi.” Makishima turned his eyes to the floor, his hands dropped from Onoda’s shoulders in favor of gripping his suitcase and throw bag. “Please keep this a secret.”

Onoda shook his head, and his tears fell. “Okay.”


Onoda could see the top of Minegayama, and he couldn’t stop his tears from falling this time either.


Makishima smiled and threw an accompanying light wave over his shoulder. “See you later, Sakamichi.”

Onoda watched Makishima limp down the walkway, and oh how he wanted so much to run behind him and squeeze his sickness away; he wanted to cure him; he wanted him to live. Makishima deserved to live.

“Makishima!” Onoda clamped his hands over his mouth at the outburst, and inhaled deeply when Makishima stopped in his tracks.

“F-fight!” Onoda cupped his hands around his mouth, ignoring the quizzical looks he received. “Keep fighting!”

Makishima never turned around, but as he walked away, Onoda noticed the slight shaking of his shoulders.

“Please keep fighting…”


From his spot on top of Minegayama he could watch the sunset. It was a beautiful sight, but no matter how beautiful, it could never quell the ache in his heart, or stop the waves of tears from leaving his eyes.


“Goodbye.”


It’s been four years.
Soon it’ll be five.
But no matter how many years may pass, Onoda will keep hoping.
Onoda will keep waiting.
