Bonus Round 3: FSTs

FSTs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Profess your love for your favorite ships with the power of song! In this round, we ask you to create fan soundtracks and use them as inspiration for new fanwork.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES
  • Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (1-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Lilia & Sara). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Lilia/Sara). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
  • Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
  • Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
  • Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

If you see anyone breaking the code of conduct (e.g., causing drama, being rude) anywhere (not just DW), please contact the mods immediately.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post).

Have a question? Check The FAQ first. If you still need help, feel free to contact the mods. Happy fanworking!

The first time Atsushi learns what it feels like to want something so badly but not be able to have it, he can't hold back the tears of disappointment. They don't stop falling, not as they walk off the court, still hurting from their loss to Seirin, not through the post-game meeting, and not on the bus back to their hotel either.

Tatsuya, a constant presence by his side, places a hand on Atsushi's back and thinks of what a luxury it must be, for loss and disappointment to be such a fresh and new feeling. There's no room for bitterness or jealousy here, though, so it's a thought that he prods back into its bottle, storing it away and focusing his attention where it's more needed, on Atsushi. Here, he has a wealth of experience. He knows what to do (continue sitting by Atsushi's side so that he realises that he is not alone) and knows what to say (nothing, absolutely nothing, because it's not going to change the way things are and it's only going to hurt more, or end up being irritating, and neither of those will help).

It's Tatsuya who dries Atsushi's eyes when they're in their hotel room, running a face towel under warm water and wiping Atsushi's face with it, letting him blow his nose on a tissue, then another. Atsushi isn't crying any more, and his dry sobs have stopped, but he's still trembling as the sadness works its way into his core.

Tatsuya wonders if he felt like this, the first time he cried as well. The memory of the first time he was so uncomfortably aware of what he was lacking is so distant that he can't remember the details any more. It's not going to help him here anyway; he knows that he and Atsushi are cut from different cloth. The way that Tatsuya deals with his shortcomings isn't going to be anything close to whatever it is that Atsushi needs to do.

"I stayed on the court," Atsushi says, his voice a little nasal from all of his tears. "Until the very end. I kept fighting until the final buzzer."

"Yes you did, Atsushi," Tatsuya murmurs. He pulls the damp towel away from Atsushi's face, stroking his cheek with one hand. "You kept playing."

"I wanted to win," Atsushi says, his lower lip trembling again. Tatsuya rubs his thumb along it, smiling sadly down at him.

"I know you did. I wanted to win too."

With a deep sigh, Atsushi leans forward, resting his head against Tatsuya's chest. "Next time. We're definitely going to win."

Smiling, Tatsuya kisses Atsushi's forehead. "Yeah. We will."
