Bonus Round 3: FSTs

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.
RULES
- Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (1-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Lilia & Sara). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Lilia/Sara). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
- Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
- Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
- Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

The air in the kitchen is thick—whether its more from the heat or the tension of waiting is near-impossible to say.
Takako stays bent over, elbows braced on her knees with hands covering her face, almost as if in prayer, though in this moment there's little to have faith in. Jun had tentatively put a reassuring hand on her back some time ago, and she hadn't questioned it, letting it be a kind of anchor.
Tetsu sits on Jun's other side, face stony and posture rigid from head to toes, his back ramrod straight against the chair. Masuko, across the table, somehow seems even smaller than usual, and the food he'd scrounged from the kitchen is untouched.
Ryou's face, per usual, betrays absolutely nothing.
And of course, Tanba is too anxious to sit, standing near the doorway and shifting restlessly from foot to foot, always throwing another glance to the doorway, always waiting someone will walk through to update them.
They've been left alone; news had spread through the corps quickly, and everyone seems determined to give them a wide berth.
Before, they'd attempted to fill the silence with conversation, meaningless words meant to distract them, but—
That was before Chris screamed. The sound echoed through the entire base, reaching into their bones and scooping out the marrow.
He'd been unconscious the entire way back, lying in the wagon with his head in Takako's lap while Tanba pressed the bandages down on his arm, trying to stay the bleeding.
The thought had passed between all of them, unspoken—that this wasn't supposed to happen. Not to Chris.
He was at the top of their class. Gifted in every aspect, acing every test, invaluable in countering every attack. He'd saved them countless times, it felt like.
Maybe that was it, Takako thought to herself. He'd played the odds too many times, saving their skins, instead of prioritizing just himself, and his luck had finally run out. He wouldn't be in this situation if he'd just—
Her eyes flicker up to Tanba, whose expression tells her his thoughts are with Chris in the infirmary, rather than here with them.
They tried to pass it off as a surface wound, a bump on the head —a few days rest and he'd be dragging Jun through the dirt for a spar just like usual.
But with every minute that goes by, it becomes clear that won't be the case.
Just when Takako is beginning to wonder whether they should go tell the rest of the corps something—anything—to stay their worries, Kataoka comes into the room.
They rise to their feet in unison, and in an instant it feels as though all of the air has left the room.
Kataoka considers them with lips tight, eyes lingering on Tanba a moment longer than the rest.
"Well?" Jun asks.
Kataoka doesn't immediately answer, hands folded behind his back. Finally, he says: "The blow to his head wasn't serious," he says. "And we were able to keep him from bleeding out. Provided we can avoid infection, he'll live."
Takako inhales, hand over her heart.
Ryousuke, though, presses: "What aren't you saying."
Kataoka eyes him, then: "He sustained serious muscle damage to his arm and shoulder. It's unclear whether or not he'll ever regain full use of it."
Takako, unbidden, thinks of this morning, when Chris had been smiling, listening to Jun and Ryousuke go back and forth, giving Tanba suggestions on the arc of his swing, sharing a private smile with Takako and Tetsu.
For years, ever since the beginning of training, it had been so easy to rely on Chris—on his strength, his talent, his very spirit.
And in a moment, it was shaken to the core.
They're all quiet.
It's Tetsu who finally asks: "May we see him?"
Kataoka nods. "He's asleep now. It's best not to wake him—nor overwhelm him. We're not sure when the effects from the head injury will abate."
On the walk, Ryousuke breaks the silence: "It's no good blaming yourself," he says.
They all turn; Ryousuke is looking straight ahead, but there's no doubting who he's speaking to. Tanba, having gone still, hands clenched into fists at his sides.
Ryousuke continues: "Chris won't thank you for feeling sorry for him, or yourself. He made a choice—for his sake, don't waste it."
Without another word or a look back, Ryousuke resumes walking.
When they enter the room, the first thing Takako thinks is how small Chris looks in the infirmary bed, fast asleep.
They say nothing as they take up resting positions and settle in to wait.

BUT!!! That commentary aside, omfg, I absolutely love this!!! Ahhh I love the way you captured the begrudging silence, all the denial and wait, with some insights of how their daily lives usually are... It's all so wonderfully worded with all the atmosphere and I just. Really love it ahhh!! Thank you so much for writing this!
