Bonus Round 3: FSTs

FSTs

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Profess your love for your favorite ships with the power of song! In this round, we ask you to create fan soundtracks and use them as inspiration for new fanwork.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES
  • Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (1-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Lilia & Sara). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Lilia/Sara). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
  • Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
  • Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
  • Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post).

You asked for death. I gave you death.

Tanaka stared at the berries laid in his palm. Poisonous. He smiled one last time, brought them to his mouth, and ate them.
~
The local physician told them that Daichi didn’t have long to live. He had acquired an ailment that still puzzled doctors all over. Once contracted, there was no hope. All the advice the physician hoped to provide for anyone was to resettle in the forest. The couple bowed, and thanked the doctor.
“Come hither once you have resettled your abode. I shall make haste.”
“Many thanks, kind man. I shall keep you posted.”
With that they left the small cottage. Over the course of the next few months, Tanaka built a cabin in the forest. He requested help from his friends, and paid them a shilling an hour. Some of them didn’t require money. They just worked from the goodness of their heart, and the pity they felt for their friend. Everyday Daichi got worse. From what was once a bewitchingly good man with a good heart. Whose muscular bod captured the hearts of many, was now reduced to a hunched man, tired, and feeble. Despite the misfortune, his good heart still shone. Tanaka worried about him perpetually. Changing his bandages daily, providing his medicine daily, and slowly watching his beloved struggling to live daily. It hurt Tanaka to slowly watch Daichi die, but he had hope that maybe he could recover. Eventually the cabin was finally built, they packed all their necessities, and moved to the cabin. Daichi’s health fluctuated throughout the days they lived there. Some days he was strong enough to get up, to walk around, and help in the little vegetable garden they started. Some days he was bedridden, coughing up blood, crying tears of pain. All Tanaka could do was painfully sit, holding his hand, and smoothing his hair; praying. Yet, to what effect? The doctor visited often to the cabin to check up on Daichi, and to prescribe stronger medicine, or even change it to something new. Tanaka lived his days in fear. The days seemed luminous when Daichi felt well, but so sullen when he was bedridden. They lived in the forest for two years before Daichi’s health finally went downhill. He watched as Daichi went from being able to walk to having to crawl just to go to the bathroom in the matter of six months. It was a chilly spring morning when Tanaka had awoken to a fit of coughing, and heaving. He rushed to the bedroom, swiftly making Daichi swallow the medicine, and water. Still, the cough persisted. Tanaka grabbed Daichi’s hand as always, tears clung to his eyes, and he smoothed Daichi’s matted down hair full of sweat. “Daichi? Canst thou hear I? Thou shall come forth through this ghastly ailment.” Daichi responded with another fit of loud, painful coughing. Tanaka grasped Daichi’s hand tighter, and kissed it. He grabbed a washcloth from the basin full of water and dabbed it across his beloved’s forehead. Daichi stopped coughing for a short moment, gazing at the man who took care of him for so long. His throat was coarse, and he no longer had the strength to speak, but he weakly smiled. Tears streaked down his face as Tanaka wiped those away too. “I love you,” he wished he could say. “Thank you,” he wished he could say. “You can go now, it's alright,” he wished he could say, but instead all he could muster was a small smile before he returned to his dreadful coughing. Tanaka watched as he continued coughing. He knew this was it. Daichi was going to die. Yet he couldn't believe it, and continued tending him. Wiping his sweat and providing whatever comfort he could in those last moments. Finally, Daichi gave one last heave, and cough then fell silent. Tanaka shook his hand. “Daichi.” He laughed, and lightly smiled, shaking his hand again, “Come now, this is no moment to play.” Tears streaked down his face, and a bitter frown replaced his smile. He smoothed his beloved’s hair again and kissed his forehead. Tanaka made his way to the door, and exited outside. The sun was bright, and the world seemed cheery. Almost like a life had never gone out, he bit his lip. “Curse this foul weather,” he thought. Then he made his way to the town. The funeral was made and passed two days after the death. Tanaka could remember barely of it. His only request was to bury Daichi near the vegetable garden that he so dearly tended. A year passed, Tanaka had no trouble assimilating back into the village life. Yet, the days passed on slowly. He missed Daichi. He missed him more than anything he could bear. Eventually, he created a plan. He walked to the forest, and passed his old cabin. He looked for a certain thicket of bushes with berries. When he eventually found it, the bush was then harvested of its few berries. Tanaka stared at the berries laid in his palm. Poisonous. He smiled one last time, brought them to his mouth, and ate them. The poison would take a while before becoming full of effect so he walked back to the cabin. He went to the vegetable garden that still flourished although slightly overgrown. He sat right next to Daichi’s grave, the left-hand side. Tanaka watched the bustle of the village that was a few miles in front of him. Tiredly, he laid down, and fell asleep; taking his last breath.

Ahh thank you for taking the time to fill this! I really like how close they are, and how much they clearly care for one another :)

(just a minor point - in the future it might be a good idea to just check if the prompter is okay with receiving a fill that has major character death in it! I know it's not necessarily a requirement but just as a courtesy, might be worth thinking about :3)
