Bonus Round 4: Quotes

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

An oldie but a goodie—in this round, we draw inspiration from famous words said by other people.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
  • Example: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." -Friedrich Nietzsche
  • The quote can come from almost anything—famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, etc.— but please don't quote personal conversations you've had or overheard.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

BUSTS THROUGH YOUR WALL WITH MY ARMS FULL OF MY LOVE FOR SS

Issa sits down and looks you directly in the eye.

"I can eat my own weight in tater tots."

You nod sagely and continue to eat your lunch. Issa frowns and reaches across the table to bat your chopsticks out of your hand.

"You're supposed to question me! Ask how I found out! Accuse me of exaggerating!"

"Issa," you start obediently, "how would you even know that?"

"I don't!" He breaks into raucous laughter as if he's just pulled the world's most hilarious prank. You smile despite yourself. He suddenly stops laughing and puts on a more serious face. "But you're going to come with me to find out."

You shrug. If he really wants you to watch him puke his guts out, that's on him.

The two of you ride up to the local family restaurant. You're not entirely sure that Issa will still be able to ride after he completes—or attempts to complete—his mission. You lock up your bikes out front and take a seat. The waitress comes and you order drinks—a glass of water for you and a glass of milk for Issa—and he opens up the menu with a snap, eyes determined.

"This one," he says, shoving the menu into your face. You push it further away and look at the advertisement for endless tater tots. It's not your money he's spending, so if he's happy, you're happy.

"Okay." you say simply, and look back to your own menu. The waitress comes back with your drinks and you order a burger. Issa points grandly at the endless tater tots before downing half a glass of milk in one gulp.

"You should watch yourself," you say, "if you get too full before you eat you could get a cramp."

Issa waves his hand dismissively and starts drumming his fingers on the table, almost vibrating in excitement as he can smell the tater tots cooking. Two plates slide towards you on the table and you begin to watch in detached horror as Issa begins inhaling tater tots.

You take an idle bite out of your burger as he shoves eight in his mouth at the same time, downing the rest of his milk to soften them before swallowing them with an exaggerated slurp. He waves his hand in the waitress's direction and gesticulates wildly at his empty plate.

You can't look away as he eats a second, a third plate, like it's a train wreck you can't tear your eyes from. But, you think, as you hold his hair back in the restroom and pat his back soothingly after his fifth plate, it's not as if you can't ever look away from him anyway.

but oh my god thank you so much, I love this, I love how you wrote it from danchiku's pov because IT'S SO SOLID AND GOOD AND NEVER BATS AN EYE I WANT TO HOLLER WITH HAPPINESS, and I love how he just goes along for the ride, always, always, and that he's so fond even as kabu like. is throwing up. kaburagi please.
