Bonus Round 4: Quotes

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

An oldie but a goodie—in this round, we draw inspiration from famous words said by other people.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
  • Example: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." -Friedrich Nietzsche
  • The quote can come from almost anything—famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, etc.— but please don't quote personal conversations you've had or overheard.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

I know it said OR but I worked both sets in anyway as separate pairings because ImaHana would enjoy that love triangle too much.

“Your ace doesn’t look too happy,” Hanamiya commented, lounging back in his seat and popped a chip of dark chocolate into his mouth. He ate them the way other people ate peanuts or chips, letting them melt on his tongue to get the maximum enjoyment out of them. Godiva called them ‘pearls’ and sold them in tiny tins but Hanamiya had quickly discovered that all he had to do was melt down the chocolate in a double boiler, drip it onto waxed paper and then he’d have a supply of tiny portable chocolate morsels that he could refill the tins with.

“It’s Kagami. He’s happy enough whenever Kuroko shows up and doesn’t mind Momoi clinging to Kuroko, but whenever Kagami comes along, it turns into macho posturing.” Imayoshi’s wide, sly smile took on a slight edge. “They’re as bad as two antelope locking horns over a lady antelope.”

“You think it’s romantic?” Hanamiya asked, watching as Kagami and Aomine clashed under the net so violently that they both crashed down to the flooring of the gym with heavy thuds.

Imayoshi nodded, the corners of his eyes crinkling in amusement.

“Touou Academy has very thin walls. Aomine moans so much about Tetsu while jerking off that I’ve received complaints.”

“...Because you’re on the Student Council Committee or because you’re his captain?” Hanamiya asked, smirking at the thought of the big, confident teenager writhing around on his bed and moaning Kuroko’s name.

“Both, I think.” Imayoshi shrugged, “There’s nothing I can do about it except advise them to buy earplugs. The school’s not going to soundproof the walls because of one person.”

The ball went to Kuroko and he looked frantically between the two, trying to decide whom to pass to.

“Wouldn’t the teams have been more even if Kagami and Aomine had been playing against each other, senpai?” Hanamiya asked as he realized both of the boys were stripped and playing on the ‘skins’ team.

Imayoshi’s smile widened. “Yes. But then they wouldn’t have to see Kuroko so clearly torn between them.”

“Maybe they’ll just have a threesome and solve it with who's got the better skills in bed,” Hanamiya said as Wakamatsu stole the ball from Kuroko.

“In that case, I think Aomine would win.” Imayoshi’s placid expression gave nothing away when Hanamiya looked at him sharply; with a scowl, Hanamiya tossed another chip of chocolate into his own mouth.

“I think Kagami,” he said just to be contrary. “He lived in America. Everyone knows Americans all have lots of sex.”

“Fine. Then I’ll back Aomine and you back Kagami. Loser owes the winner a favor.”

Kuroko ended up in a relationship with both Aomine and Kagami; by mutual agreement, Hanamiya and Imayoshi counted it as them both having won rather than them both having lost.

This is cute! (And thank you for the tip on making tiny chocolate? I've never seen Godiva Pearls before!) This was such a lovely moment to see (it's been a long time since I've seen skins team, which brought me back to high school so fast, goodness) and I adore that they both lost in the end. Thanks for the lovely fill! <3

I AM PERPETUALLY SAD THAT KNB HAS PEOPLE WEAR VESTS OVER THEIR TOPS INSTEADO F GOING SKINS VERSUS SHIRTS. They missed a chance to show all that muscle!

And I love Godiva pearls but they are SO EXPENSIVE. Buying Godiva chocolate and making your own is much cheaper since you're paying for the tin+chocolates otherwise. I'm happy that tip helped!
