sportsanime | Bonus Round 4: Quotes

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

An oldie but a goodie—in this round, we draw inspiration from famous words said by other people.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES

Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "That which does not kill us makes us stronger." -Friedrich Nietzsche
- The quote can come from almost anything—famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, etc.— but please don't quote personal conversations you've had or overheard.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

"I know I’m being selfish but I won't let you leave." Hanamiya mumbled the words against Imayoshi’s ear, the damp, sweat-soaked strands of Imayoshi’s hair clinging to Hanamiya’s cheeks. "You're everything to me. You're my blood and bone, head and heartbeat, senses and skeleton. You’re the only fucking person on this planet who understands anything. Who gets me. Who gets why I do the things that I do, and why it’s so good. I don’t care that i’m a monster but you - you’re a monster too. When you’re around, we’re monsters together. Better than being a monster alone."

He paused for a moment, then laughed weakly, body shuddering with what was closer to a sob than a laugh. "You make me babble like a lovesick schoolgirl. You have to fucking get better, senpai. You can’t let some stupid fever to take you from me, how pathetic is that?."

The heat under Imayoshi’s skin made Hanamiya think of stars going supernova, of the way that they shone brightest before they died.

"If you die," He murmured into Vanya's ear, breath wet and warm, "You'll take the universe with you. You'll take my heart with you. If you die, i will kill and kill and kill until I’m caught. Everyone I kill will be sent to serve you in the afterlife. They’ll carry a message from me, from this world to the next, and it’ll always be the same message. I don’t need to say it. You know what it is. You’ve always know, even when I denied it.”

His fingertips rested on Imayoshi’s throat; they'd been practically glued there for the last few days. Imayoshi’s heartbeat was faint but still there. It was the only consolation Lyosha had any more.

"Shoichi, wake up. If you stay unconscious any longer, I'm going to have to stop pretending that you can get better. Please wake up," He begged, fingertips pressing hard against Imayoshi’s skin as if through sheer will, he could make Imayoshi better. "Shoichi. Senpai.."

His voice broke and Hanamiya stopped talking, pressing his lips to Vanya's hair in hard, angry kisses. "This isn't fair. You’re too smart to die before you even make it into the history books. Fuck, if you'd been cut open, I could've fixed it but this--"

"Hush, Makoto-chan," Imayoshi suddenly rasped, voice weak but clear, "How'm I going to get better if you won't let me rest?"

This is so desperate and I started tearing up before the end of the first paragraph and was crying by the end, because this is lovely-- poetic and sad and that ending and--

holy shit, how tired was I that I kept inserting the names of my RP chars instead of Hanamiya and Imayoshi? THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU TRY TO WRITE AND RP AT THE SAME TIME.

But I am so glad that it worked for you! Hanamiya being desperate isn't something that happens often but this, fuck, it's a nightmare come true. pets you very gently
