Bonus Round 5: Clue

Sometimes, all you need are a few little details to imagine something bigger. This round is inspired by a classic board game with a cast of colorful characters, but for SASO your only limits on "who", "where", and "with what" are what you can imagine (and the SASO fandom list, of course)!
Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with the format of a Clue mystery - "[character] in the [location] with [item]", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: Sawamura Daichi in the teachers' lounge with the Hello Kitty! lunchbox
- The person in your prompt MAY be a member of your ship, but is not REQUIRED to be part of your ship. They must still be a named character from a SASO-nominated fandom.
- Your place must be a physical location, not a state of being or a state of being. However, this location is not required to be real, nor must it be from the same setting as the characters.
- The "item" used must be a physical object that the character can hold or manipulate.
- Unlike the board game, your prompt is NOT required to imply murder. The scenario implied can be anything at all! (As always, please tag properly!)
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your Clue-inspired fanwork.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
- Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

I have a tendency to avoid the obvious things, so it was fun to write this, and I hope you like it even though it's probably not exactly what you were thinking. ;)

When Yuuji arrives home, the first thing he does is drop the mail on the coffee table, and then make a beeline to the bedroom to change out of his work clothes. He changes into something more casual and comfortable, something more acceptable than a wrinkly suit or worn out sweats, in case he decides to meet Daichi after he finishes for the day. He’s halfway through his afternoon snack, a sliced apple, when he remembers the mail left on the table.
It’s mostly bills and junk mail, except for one envelope that has Yuuji almost inhaling a bite of apple when he checks the return address. They’ve been waiting for this letter for what feels like forever now, and Yuuji almost finds it hard to believe that it’s finally here. He rechecks the return address at least three times, convinced each time he looks away that he must’ve read it wrong, but it stays the same as the first time he’d read it.
He snaps into motion after a few moments of still contemplation, nearly tripping over his own feet in his rush to get his sneakers on. He makes sure to tuck his phone and the letter carefully in his pocket, and snatches up his keys on his way back out of the apartment, almost knocking over a stack of empty, flat boxes as he goes. He tries not to run, knows there’s no point in rushing when Daichi won’t be out of work for longer than it takes Yuuji to walk to his office building, but he can’t quite keep the adrenaline down enough for a stroll.
Daichi’s building looms into view with plenty of time left to wait, and Yuuji jitters in the parking lot just outside, knowing he won’t be able to go inside and sit calmly for the last bit of time until Daichi is done. Yuuji paces a bit, and finally manages to calm enough to lean carefully against the short wall that lines the lot. He stares up at the sky and tries not to think too hard about the sharp white envelope in his pocket. Eventually the doors to the building open and the workers start to file out, cheerful after a productive day. Daichi is last, as he always is, being the head creative consultant, and he beams when he sees Yuuji waiting.
They hug, and then Yuuji pulls out the envelope and watches as Daichi’s eyes widen when he sees who it’s from. He kisses Yuuji, quickly, and then he leans against the wall, as close as he can get to Yuuji as he tears open the envelope. Yuuji holds his breath as Daichi unfolds the paper and holds it out so they can read it at the same time. It doesn’t take long, and Yuuji’s voice is rough when he manages to speak.
“Holy shit.”
“We got it.” Daichi starts out quietly, and then he grins, voice clear and firm. “Holy shit, Yuuji, we got it!”
The next thing Yuuji knows, he’s in the air, hands clinging to the shoulders of Daichi’s suit as Daichi twirls him in a joyous hug. Yuuji laughs into his neck when his feet touch the ground again. “We did it.”
Daichi’s grin is the biggest Yuuji’s ever seen, and he knows the one on his own face matches. “Now it’s our house.” He cups Yuuji’s face in his hands and kisses him carefully. “We have a house.”
“Yeah. Yeah, we do.” Yuuji can feel the paper still in Daichi’s hand, and thinks this might be the best news he’s ever gotten. Now his and Daichi’s life together can take another step, and he can’t wait.

It's been a long day. Daichi steps out of the office, dragging his heels, stifling a yawn. He doesn't even hear someone calling his name at first, but when he realises who it is, he almost runs back into the building.
"Daichi! Daichi!"
Terushima sprints across the car park toward him, catching up before Daichi can decide which way to run.
"Teru," he says, frowning. They haven't spoken in three weeks, but even so, using his family name is probably a low blow. It connects, if the look on Terushima's face is anything to go by.
"Daichi," he says, and holds up a crumpled sheet of paper. "What the fuck?"
Daichi glances around; his colleagues are starting to leave work. "Let's not do this here," he mutters.
Terushima looks annoyed, but he shrugs and follows Daichi along the street to a small café. It's quiet at this hour, just a couple of students bent over their laptops. Daichi orders coffee for himself and Terushima, but Terushima interrupts partway through, insists on paying and carries the tray himself over to a table in the corner.
Daichi takes a seat. "What—"
"Why didn't you tell me?" Terushima asks, cutting across him. He produces the crumpled letter again and waves it in front of Daichi's face. "Why did you hide it?"
"Hide what?" Daichi asks, but he already knows the answer.
With a disdainful snort, Terushima shoves the letter at him and sits back in his seat, turning to look out of the window. Daichi unfolds it slowly, his heart in his throat. He feels like he can't swallow, but he forces himself to read the letter for what must be the hundredth time.
"I—" he says, and then stops, realising he has nothing to say.
Terushima shakes his head, still looking determinedly out of the window.
"Yuuji—"
"I can't believe you didn't tell me," Terushima says, his voice cracking. He reaches up and wipes his face angrily. "I thought—when you told me not to come around again, I thought you'd just gotten sick of my shit."
Daichi's stomach hurts. He wants to reach out and take Terushima's hands, but he can't move. "It—I thought—" Daichi sighs and puts his head in his hands. "I couldn't ask you to stick around. I didn't think you'd want to."
"What the fuck?" Terushima snaps, and Daichi looks up in surprise. A few heads in the café turn their way, but Terushima doesn't seem to notice. "You think—what, I'm just here for the good times? I'm not like that anymore."
"That's not—"
"If I just wanted to fuck around and get laid I wouldn't still be here."
"Yuuji—"
"Don't 'Yuuji' me," Terushima snarls, and when Daichi looks up there are tears rolling down his cheeks.
Heedless of the other café patrons, Daichi shuffles his chair around the side of the table and wraps his arms around Terushima. He can feel his own chest getting heavy, throat thick with the urge to cry, but he's done enough of that in the past few weeks. It's a small relief to comfort someone else instead.
"You fucking asshole," Terushima mumbles into his shoulder as Daichi holds him tightly. "How could you not tell me?"
"Shh, I'm sorry," Daichi whispers, running his fingers through Terushima's hair. It feels good to hold him again; the apartment has been far too quiet these past few weeks. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to hurt you."
Terushima chokes on wet laughter and pulls back, wiping his face on his sleeve. "Asshole," he mutters again, looking up at Daichi with wet eyes. "How're you so calm? You seem so okay with it."
"I'm not," Daichi says with a grim smile. "I'm—really not." His breath catches and he shakes himself; one of them crying in public is enough. "But—they caught it early, so—so there's a good chance—"
"Fuck," Terushima mutters, shaking his head. He sits back in his chair, his hand still resting in Daichi's in his lap. "So, uh—you still want me out?"
Daichi heaves a sigh. "I don't know. I—I mean, no, god, I—I want you, I just. This isn't fair to you—"
Terushima laughs loudly. "Are you fuckin' serious? None of this is fair, that's not the point. I wanna—" he laughs again, runs his fingers through his hair. "I dunno, whatever you need, you idiot. I'm not just here for the good times, you know?"
Daichi takes another deep breath and sits back in his seat. "Okay," he whispers, tears welling up despite his best efforts. "Okay then."
Terushima gives him a shaky smile, and leans in to kiss his cheek, cupping his head gently. "Okay then."

I should totally write more about these guys but..yeah...god, I just love when Teru is a bit older and his partners kinda...underestimate his ability to be grownup in a relationship yno? like he's not going to take it as seriously as they do because he's a goof, but...give him a chance guys
