Bonus Round 5: Clue
Sometimes, all you need are a few little details to imagine something bigger. This round is inspired by a classic board game with a cast of colorful characters, but for SASO your only limits on "who", "where", and "with what" are what you can imagine (and the SASO fandom list, of course)!
Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with the format of a Clue mystery - "[character] in the [location] with [item]", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: Sawamura Daichi in the teachers' lounge with the Hello Kitty! lunchbox
- The person in your prompt MAY be a member of your ship, but is not REQUIRED to be part of your ship. They must still be a named character from a SASO-nominated fandom.
- Your place must be a physical location, not a state of being or a state of being. However, this location is not required to be real, nor must it be from the same setting as the characters.
- The "item" used must be a physical object that the character can hold or manipulate.
- Unlike the board game, your prompt is NOT required to imply murder. The scenario implied can be anything at all! (As always, please tag properly!)
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
- Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your Clue-inspired fanwork.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

It’s 2am, the heat in his dorm room is broken, the vending machine is out of his favorite drink, and Ryousuke forgot he was entirely out of clean sweaters until exactly one minute ago. One minute too long as far as he’s concerned before he’s shuffling out into the cold, fingers slipping in the biting air as he texts Kuramochi in a rush.
‘You still up? Need to borrow a sweater and get warm away from my icebox of a room.’
He didn’t expect a response being so late at night (early in the morning). Not one so quickly fired back of, ‘The door is open, just mind not waking Sawamura up because I DON’T feel like babysitting an angry dog.’
His hands were already shaking as he opens the door, quietly sliding off his shoes before the door clicked shut just a little more loudly than Ryousuke intended.
“Shhhh…. quiet or you’ll wake the dog…” A chorus of snores causes them both to still, Kuramochi digging through a pile of folded laundry before tossing a sweater at Ryousuke’s chest, grabbing one of his own before jutting his chin towards the door.
Shudders racked his body before he managed to slip the dark hoodie over his head, feet slipping back into his shoes as the comforting smell of Kuramochi filled his nose only amplified by the cold.
“Can’t believe they haven’t fixed your heater yet! That’s two days now,” Kuramochi’s voice muffled by slipping his own hoodie over his head.
Ryousuke stretched the front of the sweater out, scoffing at the English letters on the front and the ridiculousness that Kuramochi owned it in the first place.
“Want me to grab you a drin-“ Kuramochi pauses, fingers poised over the buttons on the vending machine. Mind catching up to motion as his mouth formed a solid ‘o.’
“Unfortunately you can’t which is why I’m borrowing this,” Ryousuke moves slowly, drawing Kuramochi into his grasp before the briefest of touches. Enjoying him squirm under the touch of his lips, the barest threat of teeth before he pulls away.
Ryousuke retreats, Kuramochi frozen in place as he smiles back with a sneer just begging him to ask for more before slipping away. Ryousuke’s heart pounds with excitement as his feet take him off campus, knowing only his favorite drink could help to lull him to sleep at this point.
He nods at Tanaka on night duty as he enters the store, slips to the back to browse the cold drinks before finding his favorite and grabbing an extra just in case the machine isn’t restocked back at the school anytime soon. Ryousuke is browsing the snack case when he hears a familiar (and mostly just annoying) voice ring out from the front of the store, before he turns at the worst possible time to face one nightmare accentuated with glasses.
“Fancy meeting you here Ryousuke,” Miyuki not even bothering to hide the sneer in his voice as he balances two bottles under his arm, a package of food in the other as the catcher’s eyes settled on his hoodie with slowly widening eyes, “although I think one shortstop we both know might be waiting for your return, ne?”
A blush was starting to rise on his cheeks that Ryousuke couldn’t fight it down… until he happened to notice the shirt Miyuki was wearing.
“Seems I’m not the only one who ran out of clean laundry tonight,” Ryousuke walks forward to pluck at the baseball tee Miyuki is wearing, in a shade he’s definitely stated in the past was his least favorite color, “Make sure you don’t keep our idiot pitcher up too late Miyuki.”
Not bothering to look back at the startled expression on the catcher’s face as he paid for his snacks, thinking twice over his purchases before grabbing a candy bar to give to one particular shortstop who Ryousuke knows will want to hear his latest bit of gossip after his encounter.
