Bonus Round 5: Clue

Clue

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Sometimes, all you need are a few little details to imagine something bigger. This round is inspired by a classic board game with a cast of colorful characters, but for SASO your only limits on "who", "where", and "with what" are what you can imagine (and the SASO fandom list, of course)!

This round closes on 5 August @ 7PM EDT. (Countdown Timer.)

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES
  • Submit prompts by commenting to this post with the format of a Clue mystery - "[character] in the [location] with [item]", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
    • Example: Sawamura Daichi in the teachers' lounge with the Hello Kitty! lunchbox
    • The person in your prompt MAY be a member of your ship, but is not REQUIRED to be part of your ship. They must still be a named character from a SASO-nominated fandom.
    • Your place must be a physical location, not a state of being or a state of being. However, this location is not required to be real, nor must it be from the same setting as the characters.
    • The "item" used must be a physical object that the character can hold or manipulate.
    • Unlike the board game, your prompt is NOT required to imply murder. The scenario implied can be anything at all! (As always, please tag properly!)
    • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your Clue-inspired fanwork.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
  • Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

“Maki-chan--” Toudou started to say in an apologetic whine.

“No.” Makishima said as he held up one hand, palm facing towards Toudou. “You don’t get to talk, you nuisance. This is all your fault!”

Toudou pouted, shifting his weight from foot to foot and throwing imploring looks at Onoda and Tadoroko who had accompanied Makishima to the hairdresser’s as well (and in Tadoroko’s case, he’d also stopped Makishima from pushing Toudou into the road). Surely one of them would speak up for him.

“It’s not as if he knew the kid was going to stick gum in your hair,” Tadoroko said reasonably only to have Makishima turn the full force of his glare on him.

“So now you’re siding with him?!” Makishima cried out so dramatically that several other customers looked up from their papers at the three men.

“There are no sides, Makishima-senpai,” Onoda said patiently. “Toudou-senpai is very, very sorry that the child put gum in your hair. We all are.”

Makishima threw himself into a chair and spun it around to glower up at Toudou.

“You laughed,” he said accusingly.

“Only because your face was so funny,” Toudou tried to defend himself. “You looked as if he’d pulled all your hair out.”

“They’ll have to cut it to get the gum out,” Makishima predicted darkly. “They’ll chop it out and then they’ll massacre the rest of my hair so that it looks even. I’ll have hair as short as yours and then I’ll really be a laughing stock.”

“Short hair might suit you, senpai,” Onoda offered. Trying to be practical, he added, “And it’s less weight when you’re climbing!”

“If that’s the case, then we should all shave our heads!” Makishima gestured threateningly at Toudou with the gum-encrusted lump of hair he’d been carefully holding away from the rest of his hair. “You first.”

“I don’t think me being here is helping,” Toudou said quickly, seeing a shear-like glint in Makishima’s eyes. “I’ll just - go get the hairdresser. Ask him what’s taking so long.”

He sped out of sight and a moment later, the front doorbell jingled as Toudou made a hasty escape.

“There is no escaping your karma,” Makishima said as they watched Toudou run past the large glass front window. “He will pay for this.”

Tadoroko and Onoda exchanged looks, neither willing to be the one to ask if Makishima was going to put gum into Toudou’s hair.

Tadoroko did, however, helpfully slip a pack of gum into Makishima’s jacket pocket. Just in case.
