Bonus Round 5: Clue

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Sometimes, all you need are a few little details to imagine something bigger. This round is inspired by a classic board game with a cast of colorful characters, but for SASO your only limits on "who", "where", and "with what" are what you can imagine (and the SASO fandom list, of course)!

This round closes on 5 August @ 7PM EDT. (Countdown Timer.)

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with the format of a Clue mystery - "[character] in the [location] with [item]", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
  • Example: Sawamura Daichi in the teachers' lounge with the Hello Kitty! lunchbox
  • The person in your prompt MAY be a member of your ship, but is not REQUIRED to be part of your ship. They must still be a named character from a SASO-nominated fandom.
  • Your place must be a physical location, not a state of being or a state of being. However, this location is not required to be real, nor must it be from the same setting as the characters.
  • The "item" used must be a physical object that the character can hold or manipulate.
  • Unlike the board game, your prompt is NOT required to imply murder. The scenario implied can be anything at all! (As always, please tag properly!)
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your Clue-inspired fanwork.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

I don’t know how this fic got away from me but it definitely did. Also known as: The Fill In Which An Old Lady Berates Aomine

To his left, there was the creak of a door opening. Aomine ignored it, fumbling with the key and cursing under his breath as it refused to go in. For a second, he suspected that Kise had given him the wrong key, either as a joke or because he was Kise.

“Excuse me!” A high-pitched, querulous voice said. Aomine looked over to the left to find a wrinkle-faced old lady, dressed in a flower-print gown with fluffy bunny slippers, staring at him severely. “Are you trying to break into that house? I’m with the Neighborhood Watch, you know!”

“There’s a Neighborhood Watch for apartment buildings?” Aomine asked, briefly distracted from his objective.

“Young man, don’t be impertinent,” she said as she pushed up her glasses. “I’ll have you know I started the local branch forty years ago when I first moved in!”

“...” Resisting the urge to do some mental arithmetic to figure out when exactly that was, Aomine said instead, “I’m not trying to be impertinent. I was just curious.”

“And a curious thing it is too that you’re doing!” She lectured, waving her cane at Aomine in a way that made him warily step back in case it slipped out of her hand. “Burglaring a place in broad daylight! Have you no shame? And you such a strong young man too. Why don’t you go out and get work? Are you just too lazy to do a good day’s work?”

“I have a job,” Aomine protested, stung to the core of his lazy soul. “I’m a basketball player.”

She hmphed at that. “A proper job, young man. One with a pension and healthcare. Do you have a pension?”

“I earn six million dollars a year, I don’t need a pension!” Aomine jabbed at the keyhole with the key again, wishing more than ever it would open and get him out of this conversation.

“A likely story,” she said. “And who’s paying you that much to throw a ball around?”

“The NBA!” Aomine nearly wailed the words. Something about bossy women always made him feel like he was dealing with Momoi. This was probably what Momoi would be like when she was old. “Look, please, I just need to get into my boyfriend’s house, it’s his birth--”

“Oh! You’re that Dakky! Ryota’s always talking about you. Such a nice young boy, he is.” The old woman was suddenly all smiles, shuffling forwards. “Here, you have to jiggle the knob a little bit and then hold it upwards while you put the key in.”

“...Thank you,” Aomine said and privately cursed Ryota’s ability to make everyone love him.

THIS ONE MADE ME LAUGH A LOT because aomine would definitely be marked as a suspicious stranger by old ladies everywhere....... get chewed out by a tiny old granny barely half his size....... and of course kise would just be loved everywhere, he's a wonder... that sentence about how the old lady's what momoi would be like when she was old OMG AOMINE if momoi heard that he'd probably have a broken nose lmao
