Bonus Round 5: Clue

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Sometimes, all you need are a few little details to imagine something bigger. This round is inspired by a classic board game with a cast of colorful characters, but for SASO your only limits on "who", "where", and "with what" are what you can imagine (and the SASO fandom list, of course)!

This round closes on 5 August @ 7PM EDT. (Countdown Timer.)

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with the format of a Clue mystery - "[character] in the [location] with [item]", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
  • Example: Sawamura Daichi in the teachers' lounge with the Hello Kitty! lunchbox
  • The person in your prompt MAY be a member of your ship, but is not REQUIRED to be part of your ship. They must still be a named character from a SASO-nominated fandom.
  • Your place must be a physical location, not a state of being or a state of being. However, this location is not required to be real, nor must it be from the same setting as the characters.
  • The "item" used must be a physical object that the character can hold or manipulate.
  • Unlike the board game, your prompt is NOT required to imply murder. The scenario implied can be anything at all! (As always, please tag properly!)
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Eijun had never seen such tall flowers. Of course he’d seen them drawn in manga before, but he’d never had the opportunity to actually see them up close, touch them and smell them. This trip wasn’t even a planned thing – his and Furuya’s schedules were supposed to match up only in the following month, but he had a bad fall during his last game and his coach told him to take two weeks and rest, so he decided to visit his boyfriend in Hokkaido during the weekend.

Furuya was more than happy to have him around, if his tiny smile was anything to go by. Even after all these years he still wasn’t one for much emotion, at least outside of the mound, but Eijun could always tell when he was happy or sad or frustrated – it was something he told himself he’d master, because he got tired of people saying how can you even date such a boring guy when they had no idea who Furuya really was.

(In his defense, Furuya was actually a very expressive person, you only had to pay attention to the small details.)

Furuya was determined not to let Eijun walk around too much so he wouldn’t worsen his leg injury, despite Eijun’s complaints (“It’s nothing Furuya, I can walk just fine!“) but Furuya was having none of it (“No, stop being stubborn.”), so they ended up renting a car and driving all morning to someplace Eijun had no clue about, because Furuya decided not to tell him where they were going until they got there, the asshole.

(Furuya was the one who did all the driving, but as much as Eijun complained he was actually grateful to the pitcher for always looking out for him this way).

Eijun dozed off almost the whole way and only woke up when he felt the sun hitting him in the face and the car coming to a stop. As soon as he looked out the window and caught sight of the field full of sunflowers, he jumped out of the car and ran the whole way there, not even listening to Furuya yelling at him to be careful.

The sunflowers were in full bloom, yellow and green contrasting with the blue of the sky, and Eijun thought that he’d probably never seen anything so beautiful in his entire life. He didn’t even feel intimidated by their height – just safe and in peace. He closed his eyes and took in the sun and the earthy scent around him, until he felt something hitting his head lightly and blocking the light from his eyes. “You forgot this.”

When he took it from his head and looked down at it in his hands he couldn’t help but smile and turn around. “A straw hat? Where did you get this?” Furuya was standing right behind him with his usual tiny smile and a basket with what seemed like sandwiches and juice in his right hand.

“They were selling those in the souvenir shop and I thought it would suit you, just like these sunflowers.” Eijun sputtered and turned around again, putting his new hat on and trying to hide his embarrassment. Furuya never missed his opportunities so he promptly wrapped his arms around Eijun’s waist and rested his head on top of his. “Whenever I miss you I come here and look at the sunflowers for a long time, because they always remind me of you.”

Eijun gave in and sighed while lightly stroking Furuya’s hands with his own and leaning on his chest. “You’re so embarrassing, I’m so glad I’m the only one who gets to see this side of you. By the way, I also miss you all the time you know? There’s a reason why I send you so many messages during the day.”

There’s a soft snicker coming from behind him and then Furuya is suddenly leaning down and kissing his cheek with a smile. “I know.”
