Bonus Round 5: Clue
Sometimes, all you need are a few little details to imagine something bigger. This round is inspired by a classic board game with a cast of colorful characters, but for SASO your only limits on "who", "where", and "with what" are what you can imagine (and the SASO fandom list, of course)!
Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with the format of a Clue mystery - "[character] in the [location] with [item]", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: Sawamura Daichi in the teachers' lounge with the Hello Kitty! lunchbox
- The person in your prompt MAY be a member of your ship, but is not REQUIRED to be part of your ship. They must still be a named character from a SASO-nominated fandom.
- Your place must be a physical location, not a state of being or a state of being. However, this location is not required to be real, nor must it be from the same setting as the characters.
- The "item" used must be a physical object that the character can hold or manipulate.
- Unlike the board game, your prompt is NOT required to imply murder. The scenario implied can be anything at all! (As always, please tag properly!)
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!

I had too many ideas for the ending but it felt best to leave it like that...

Teshima would have to admit he was a little obsessed with Aoyagi’s ears. He kept them folded down most of the time, so the moment when he took his helmet off and let them prick up Teshima’s attention always seemed to fix on them. They were white, and deliciously soft, and Teshima loved to touch them.
Keeping your ears was pretty rare if you were serious about racing. They tended to get in the way. The only choices were folded down uncomfortably or sticking out unprotected, and injuring a fragile ear in a crash was a good way to lose a lot of blood and possibly have to retire from the race. By university teams would let participants trim their ears for safety reasons. In highschool they just looked the other way.
There were two ways to get rid of unwanted ears. Either grab a partner, or find something sharp. Sometimes it was obvious which option people had picked. Imaizumi’s hair was too short to completely hide the scars. Naruko was willing to brag because he wouldn’t let even that little scrap of wind resistence slow him down.
Teshima had taken the fun route, with some help from Ashikiba, and he wouldn’t have minded doing it a few more times for good measure. He deliberately lost at rock-paper-scissors and let his friend wear fake ears until graduation while he laughed off the attention. As time went on the fact that his ears were gone became less interesting, anyway.
He definitely wouldn’t have minded helping Aoyagi lose his ears the same way. Usually it would be a mentor helping out an underclassman, but there was no reason it couldn’t be Teshima. The important thing was that it was someone who loved him.
When he explained this reasoning and managed to out himself Teshima just went with it. “Yeah, I love you. I would do anything to help you, anyway. And this is actually fun, so. . .”
Aoyagi’s eyes always made him more honest than he wanted to be.
“I want to take your ears,” Teshima admitted.
It was not how he wanted to end that particular conversation, even if it was true. He wanted to have sex with Aoyagi. He wanted to be the one Aoyagi glanced at guiltily when he came into the club room without his ears for the first time. He wanted to run his fingers unimpeded though Aoyagi’s hair, knowing what they had done together.
The next day Aoyagi kissed him on the mouth and said, “I love you too.” Teshima already knew it would be a long road before Aoyagi was ready to do it, but since it was a road that involved kissing and cuddling Aoyagi he was prepared to enjoy himself every step of the way.
They got close a couple of times. Once when Teshima had given Aoyagi a kiss on the ear while cuddling, only to have it twitch and for Aoyagi to let out an unexpected gasp.
Teshima didn’t remember his own ears being so sensitive, but he didn’t care. All that he cared about was touching Aoyagi’s ears as much as he could. He fondled them, thumbs rubbing just hard enough to make Aoyagi squirm. He kissed them, savoring each little twitch against his lips, and even snagged the tip of one delicately between his teeth.
At some point he started grinding against Aoyagi, and found Aoyagi was happily returning the favor. Teshima was sure he was going to help Aoyagi lose his ears right there and he wanted to play with them as much as possible while he could.
Then a door slammed downstairs and Aoyagi’s mother called that she was home and that was the end of playtime for the day and also for about a month after.
Even with the odd setback it was clear Aoyagi wanted him too. Teshima focused on that.
He might have pushed a little too hard during the drama surrounding Onoda making the Inter-High team. Suddenly it was a big deal who was going to help Onoda out because everyone loved him and he crashed enough on a normal course. No one could stomach the thought of seeing him injured in bad crash at the In-High.
Imaizumi bought him an adult’s helmet and Makishima bought a custom pair of false ears, complete with little black tufts at the tips, and who actually helped him out with the important bit Teshima pretended not to know.
Less than an hour after being roped into giving Onoda calm, sensitive relationship advice, Teshima had shoved his hand down Aoyagi’s pants and said, “Let me take your ears.”
He would admit he deserved to be punched for that, and he probably deserved another when he didn’t leave it alone and asked for the reason. He wanted to hear something like, “I want to, but. . .” Even if it was something he couldn’t fix, like Aoyagi’s old-fashioned parents. (Teshima was intimidated by them, and having to tell them he’d de-eared their son was right on the edge of things he was willing to do to get in Aoyagi’s pants.)
Instead Aoyagi asked him right back why he wanted this so badly. It always felt like Aoyagi’s eyes demanded the truth.
“Because you’re the best thing in my world and I want more of you.” Teshima felt like he was crumbling on every side with their injuries and his slipping grades and at home he could barely breathe waiting for the tension between his parents to snap. He didn’t have any other friends he could run to the way he could run to Aoyagi. He wanted Aoyagi anyway, but now he wanted to bend himself to Aoyagi hard enough to make everything else go away.
When he thought about it later, Teshima wanted to have said he shouldn’t take any of that out on Aoyagi, but before he could Aoyagi took his hands and placed them over his ears. He couldn’t have given a clearer offer for Teshima to play with them.
That was as good a distraction as he could ask for. After all, he would miss teasing those sensitive ears when he eventually helped Aoyagi lose them for good.
He had to be the one. They were partners. They loved each other. Teshima was sure he would be the one to take Aoyagi’s ears when the time was right.
So why where there a familiar pair of ears waiting for him when he went into the club room? They were freshly shed but already starting to stiffen like leather. Teshima ran his thumb up the edge of one ear. The fur was still soft. They folded down slightly, as if being trapped under a helmet for so long had trained them into that shape.
Had Aoyagi been a good senpai and helped Kaburagi out of his ears? Had he sliced them off by himself? The edges seemed too sharp to be natural, but then Teshima hadn’t bothered to inspect his own ears the morning after. There was no sign of blood staining white fur.
Was it better to know Aoyagi had chosen to fuck someone else or to imagine him hurting himself? Teshima didn’t want either of those options, but he needed to know. He knew Aoyagi knew he had always been willing and waiting for this.
Yesterday Aoyagi had left practice early for the first time since Teshima had known him. Had Teshima missed something in his eyes? Had his goodbye kiss meant something else that time?
This was not what he meant when he said he wanted Aoyagi’s ears.
