Bonus Round 5: Clue

Clue

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Sometimes, all you need are a few little details to imagine something bigger. This round is inspired by a classic board game with a cast of colorful characters, but for SASO your only limits on "who", "where", and "with what" are what you can imagine (and the SASO fandom list, of course)!

This round closes on 5 August @ 7PM EDT. (Countdown Timer.)

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES
  • Submit prompts by commenting to this post with the format of a Clue mystery - "[character] in the [location] with [item]", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
    • Example: Sawamura Daichi in the teachers' lounge with the Hello Kitty! lunchbox
    • The person in your prompt MAY be a member of your ship, but is not REQUIRED to be part of your ship. They must still be a named character from a SASO-nominated fandom.
    • Your place must be a physical location, not a state of being or a state of being. However, this location is not required to be real, nor must it be from the same setting as the characters.
    • The "item" used must be a physical object that the character can hold or manipulate.
    • Unlike the board game, your prompt is NOT required to imply murder. The scenario implied can be anything at all! (As always, please tag properly!)
    • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your Clue-inspired fanwork.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
  • Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

FILL: TEAM PRINCE OF TENNIS, M

Ship: Tomoe/Kyousuke
Fandom: Prince of Stride

Permanent injury, bitterness, emotional manipulation, sexual content, all that delicious fucked up unhealthy relationship stuff!

***

At first, of course, there was gossip about sabotage and conspiracies and deliberate plots to stop Japan from winning the World Stride Cup.

It turns out the man really was just a drunk driver who hit Tomoe without knowing who he was and he hadn't aimed for Tomoe's leg on purpose; Tomoe had tossed himself out of the way of the car but not been able to draw his leg out of the way in time. It had been Tomoe's fault that his femur shattered all the way from his knee to his ankle but it was the man who paid for the hospital stay because it was his fault that Tomoe was injured at all.

And so ended Tomoe's Stride career.

*

Kyousuke ran like his feet didn't touch the ground. He ran like he was the wind, like the air itself carried him along.

Tomoe watched him on TV and flinched when Riku dedicated their victory to Tomoe, the first Prince of Stride.

He had never wanted his brother's pity.

*

Tomoe had never noticed the way that Kyousuke and Heath looked at him. He'd always been too busy running, their hands the blur that he sped towards. Their faces hadn't been what he focused on but the hands that he needed to Relation with.

Now, stuck in a hospital bed, he watched their faces and saw something that would have held no interest for him before.

He couldn't Stride anymore though. His love was out of reach.

But Heath and Kyousuke could still Stride and it's not fair when they dared to love in such an earthly way (love him, him, who only wanted to fly).

*

Heath had siblings who love him, two of them.

Kyousuke had nobody and the Stride Club let him take the fall. Kyousuke, then, was the perfect choice.

*

"What do you want to do with your life now, Tomoe?" Kyousuke asked and Heath suggested before Tomoe can reply, "Maybe you can be a Relationer!"

Tomo didn't let himself flinch at the well-meaning suggestion. He shrugged instead, letting his gaze turn to the window. "I was thinking of becoming a designer for footwear."

"...That's --" Heath started to say ad then oofed quietly. Kyousuke must've stepped on his foot.

"Heath can bring his designers to your sister to look at," Kyousuke offered. "And I'll help in any way that I can too."

"...Really?" Tomoe glanced back at Kyousuke, the downward dip of his eyelashes as calculated as when he'd pike over obstacles. "You would make a good model."

*

As expected, Kyousuke jumped at the chance to spend more time with Tomoe

Tomoe got Kyousuke used to being touched by him, having Kyousuke let Tomoe create paper-mache casts of his feet and then mould leather to Kyousuke's high arches.

Tomoe's lack of cobbling knowledge didn't matter for his plans. Down in his workshop, his first masterpiece was already taking place.

*

"...Are you sure?" Kyousuke hesitated, hands splayed over Tomoe's chest, hair a fall of snowy white over his own shoulders. "I don't want to hurt you and your leg's still recovering."

"It'll be recovering for the rest of my life," Tomoe said flatly, letting his bitterness show only in his eyes. No more Stride. No more running. The metal pins that held together his calf wearied him even when all he did was walk but his pride refused to accept a wheelchair still.

He reached out and cupped one of Kyousuke's thighs, pulling him a little further up. "But if you're worried about hurting me, you could always ride me instead."

Kyousuke wet his lips and nodded.

*

The iron sneakers were cast in one piece. To get Kyousuke's feet inside them, Tomoe slicked them up with baby oil and coaxed them in, then stuffed the extra space in the shoes with scarves that he wadded intp place with the wooden handle of a cooking spoon.

"Tomoe, I can't move in these," Kyousuke said in distress, struggling to lift his feet and failing.

"You don't need to. There are wheels and an engine hidden in it," Tomoe said and picked up the remote. He turned it on, then used the joystick to send Kyouskue forwards slowly so Kyousuke had enough time to brace himself against the wall instead of crashing into it. "I'll control your path down the runway, make you twirl at the end, then send you back."

"Peope aren't going to buy shoes they can't walk in," Kyousuke said, fighing the odd, off-balance sense of being in wheeled shoes. He kept his forearms against the wall, sucking in a sharp breath as Tomoe's fingers traced down his spine and then tugged hs jeans down.

"These are just the model. The actual sneakers will be normal, but look like these." Tomeo slid into Kyousuke with a single sharp thrust, dry and rough, and Kyousuke tasted blood from how hard he bit his own lip to stay quiet.

"Rock your hips for me," Tomoe crooned. "Show me how you want to move."

Tomoe's hands held Kyousuke's hips and Kyousuke thought of how even now, it was difficult for Tomoe to stand. If this was Tomoe's way of asking for helping, of saying he was no longer steady enough to fuck Kyousuke standing up without Kyousuke's help, then Kyousuke wouldn't make him ask twice.

Carefully, still afraid he would fall, Kyousuke started to move.

*

The runway floor was lit with red when Kyousuke glided out. The other models had sauntered or strutted but Kyousuke moved effortlessly. Diana had dressed him in red trousers laced to the knee with black ribbon that ended in a bow, then turned into folds of gauze that hinted at his calves without revealing them. The only top he wore was a red cape of velvet, lined with black satin, fastened at the throat with a silver wolf's head brooch.

But his shoes looked like red-hot iron and when he reached the end of the runway, he raised his arms and undulated his hips in the dance of Salome.

All the while, his gaze stayed on Tomoe, sitting in the front row and smiling the way he used to smile during Stride.
