Bonus Round 5: Clue

Clue

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Sometimes, all you need are a few little details to imagine something bigger. This round is inspired by a classic board game with a cast of colorful characters, but for SASO your only limits on "who", "where", and "with what" are what you can imagine (and the SASO fandom list, of course)!

This round closes on 5 August @ 7PM EDT. (Countdown Timer.)

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES
  • Submit prompts by commenting to this post with the format of a Clue mystery - "[character] in the [location] with [item]", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
    • Example: Sawamura Daichi in the teachers' lounge with the Hello Kitty! lunchbox
    • The person in your prompt MAY be a member of your ship, but is not REQUIRED to be part of your ship. They must still be a named character from a SASO-nominated fandom.
    • Your place must be a physical location, not a state of being or a state of being. However, this location is not required to be real, nor must it be from the same setting as the characters.
    • The "item" used must be a physical object that the character can hold or manipulate.
    • Unlike the board game, your prompt is NOT required to imply murder. The scenario implied can be anything at all! (As always, please tag properly!)
    • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Natsuo & Yuzuko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Natsuo/Yuzuko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your Clue-inspired fanwork.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
  • Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

"are you sure this is a good idea?" tobio keeps his eyes glued to the window, sweating at the idea of getting caught.

"of course it is," akira replies, voice level. "now keep watching. there's no point to this if we're caught."

akira sits on the floor, back warmed by the overactive copy machine as it spits out page after page of text. he looks ready to fall asleep, with oikawa tooru-senpai's copy card clutched in his hands, legs covered by tobio's sweatshirt. "i'm watching," tobio replies, only half-nettled, and he shifts his weight a bit just to get the feeling back. "how long do we have to be here?"

"until it's done printing." akira was, most likely, born tired and was sleepy as personal default. he avoided enrolling in morning classes, could not be bothered to wake up before noon, and was by all accounts a generally soft looking boy with a surprising wit and the blessed college student's gift of falling asleep anywhere, at any time. tobio generally saw akira use that marvelous talent when he wanted to avoid conversation, or people, or any general encounter that began with "kunimi-kun" and ended with some inane request, like saying hello.

"you look comfortable," tobio says, forgetting for a moment he was supposed to watch the door.

akira doesn't reply. his chest just rises and falls in a gentle slope, and tobio forgets entirely to keep guard to study akira's peaceful face. it's not fair that akira gets to be so well rested when tobio has to do the work. not that he minds, and he isn't quite sure if he wants to be the same way akira is: where his mind runs on several tracks at once, and in different directions. tobio yawns.

he leaves his post by the door and lifts off the freshest page from the copy machine. they're only at the section where detective benson gets the scary stalker call, and they have another ten to go before she calls her partner over to begin their off-the-books investigation. out of three hundred pages, they have a laughable two hundred more to go, and that's only if oikawa-senpai's copy card was bottomless.

tobio slides down to the floor, sitting next to akira and letting him lean against his arm, natural as anything. akira's got the right idea: the copier warms his back and akira makes a delighted, muted sound when tobio lifts the edge of his sweatshirt to cover his own legs, too.

he only wakes up when oikawa-senpai finds them both, covered in cooled fanfiction printouts. "hi, senpai," tobio says sleepily, and nudges akira awake. "it was his idea."
