Bonus Round 7: Free For All

Let's finish SASO 2017 with a bang. This bonus bonus round allows any kind of prompt imaginable in any format. The sky's the limit!



SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

 

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with literally any kind of prompt, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms, with the following caveats:
  • Large image prompts should be thumbnailed and linked to, as explained here.
  • Fanart/fanfiction/fanwork prompts are only allowed if you created the fanwork yourself or if you have explicit permission to use it, and proof of permission must be linked to in your prompt header.
  • Quote prompts can come from almost anything, but please don't quote personal conversations you've had or overheard.
  • Reposting prompts is fine, but be respectful and keep crediting in mind. A prompt belongs to the person who posted it to this round, and who can fill it is determined by whether or not they are on that person's team.
    • If reposting a br2 (tic tac toe) prompt, please post each prompt square as its own individual comment. Posting tic tac toe boards wholesale will crash our br scorer and the bonus doesn't apply for this round, anyway.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Akira & Hikaru). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Akira/Hikaru). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• Besides that, if you want to prompt something, regardless of format—even formats not previously allowed in SASO—go right ahead. If you're unsure you can ask us for clarification, but tbh just go for the gold.
• Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with a fanwork.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

• 400 words (prose)
• 400px by 400px (art)
• 14 lines (poetry)
• 8 tracks (fanmixes)

There is no max work cap.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Aomine’s fucking tired today, and he’s pretty sure Midorima won’t be home before he gets there. He texts that he’s picking up dinner at the fast-food joint on the corner (he only goes there as often as he does because of their loyalty program, something Midorima says doesn’t actually save him that much money since if he didn’t go there as much he would spend less money instead of spending more for the free large fries, but whatever, it tastes good). Midorima doesn’t answer; Aomine’s sure he’s still at work.

He’s not, though; when Aomine arrives at home Midorima is on the couch, his computer open, running his numbers in that stupid graphing program.

“Babe, you're here early.”

He kisses Midorima’s cheek, and Midorima barely reacts. “I have to fun these numbers; I won’t be able to do any experiments tomorrow if I don’t do this now.”

Aomine rolls his eyes. “You said that last night, and the night before. Why can’t you do your numbers when you’re on the clock? That’s part of the job description, too.”

“It has to get done,” says Midorima.

“Yeah, but what happens if your experiments get pushed back one day? You’re not even close to putting out a paper, right? So one day shouldn’t make a difference.”

“But if I can—”

“You have to take care of yourself,” says Aomine, snapping the laptop shut and snatching it away (he’s still too fast for Midorima; their too-occasional basketball sessions have already proved that).

“I need to do work,” says Midorima. “Give it back.”

“Babe, listen,” says Aomine. “You do this every damn day. You don’t get paid for it. You’re not going to get fired and the work’s not going to fail if you just, you know, spend time with your boyfriend and eat dinner without one hand on the mouse for one day. I just…I’m trying to make time for you, and I want this relationship to work.”

“Oh,” says Midorima.

He doesn’t reach for the laptop again, and Aomine puts it back, offering his hand to Midorima instead. After one second, one more glance at the laptop and its pulsing light, he reaches back, and Aomine squeezes his fingers.

“Hey, you’ve had a long day. Relax. I brought you some food.”

Midorima nods. “I’m sorry.”

“Don’t be,” says Aomine, kissing his cheek. “Just be here with me now. Tell me about the horoscopes or something.”

Midorima nods, and they make their way to the kitchen.

i love your domestic things so much... this is so soft. i say this a lot but i love when people have midorima work with numbers it suits him so much...

i love aomine being the more "reasonable" one in the relationship, encouraging him to relax and have a proper work/life balance this calmed my turbulent soul thank you so much
