Bonus Round 7: Free For All

Free-For-All

Let's finish SASO 2017 with a bang. This bonus bonus round allows any kind of prompt imaginable in any format. The sky's the limit!

SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES
  • Submit prompts by commenting to this post with literally any kind of prompt, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms, with the following caveats:
    • Large image prompts should be thumbnailed and linked to, as explained here.
    • Fanart/fanfiction/fanwork prompts are only allowed if you created the fanwork yourself or if you have explicit permission to use it, and proof of permission must be linked to in your prompt header.
    • Quote prompts can come from almost anything, but please don't quote personal conversations you've had or overheard.
    • Reposting prompts is fine, but be respectful and keep crediting in mind. A prompt belongs to the person who posted it to this round, and who can fill it is determined by whether or not they are on that person's team.
      • If reposting a br2 (tic tac toe) prompt, please post each prompt square as its own individual comment. Posting tic tac toe boards wholesale will crash our br scorer and the bonus doesn't apply for this round, anyway.
    • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Akira & Hikaru). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Akira/Hikaru). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
  • Besides that, if you want to prompt something, regardless of format—even formats not previously allowed in SASO—go right ahead. If you're unsure you can ask us for clarification, but tbh just go for the gold.
  • Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with a fanwork.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
  • Here is a prompt/fill index for your convenience.

If you see anyone breaking the code of conduct (e.g., causing drama, being rude) anywhere (not just DW), please contact the mods immediately.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only (see the line of links below this post).

Have a question? Check The FAQ first. If you still need help, feel free to contact the mods. Happy fanworking!

Warnings for character death and Miki being a little too intense,

***

It was possible, Miki admitted to herself, that she was starting to go a little too far. Above her, the Shinigami Meyahra floated and watched with interest as Miki knelt by the shelf with the student yearbooks.

“I could just give you the Shinigami Eyes,” Meyahra said primly, peering down at the dust-covered books that Miki was wiping down with a wet cloth held in silicone-gloved hands. All the dust being gone from the books might be suspicious but fingerprints would be more suspicious still. Maybe this way they’d just think their cleaning lady was unusually thoroughly.

“Give implies it’s a gift, Meyahra,” Miki said without looking up. “Not that you’ll take half my remaining years for it.”

“You have a lot of years ahead of you, Miki. Losing half of them won’t hurt you much.” The Shinigami adjusted its glasses; even though they were for show, Meyahra had somehow picked up the human habit of constantly pushing the glasses up. It was a strange accessory but then, according to Ryuk and Rem, Meyahra was strange even for a Shinigami.

“The more years I have, the more I’ll lose if I take your deal,” Miki shot back, finally locating the yearbook she wanted. She heaved a pleased sigh and sat back on her heels, flipping through the pages.

She’d seen the boy and overheard Kinjou talking about how he’d been pulled off his bike during the Inter-High. Cheating, especially at biking, was not acceptable!

(Again, that little voice of reason asked if someone deserved to die for cheating but Miki squashed that relentlessly. She’d been given a Death Note, not an Adequate Punishment Note. The only thing she could do was kill him!)

“Fukutomi Juichi,” she read out loud as she matched the picture of the captain of the team with the name written underneath it. Pulling out her Death Note, she balanced it on one knee.

“Your penmanship’s improved.” Meyahra said as she floated closer so she could peer upside down at the pristine page of the Death Note. “What are you going to write for his death? You should make it poetic.”

“Thank you,” Miki said, chewing on the end of her pen as she thought. It wasn’t just Fukutomi who had benefited from his cheating. It was his whole team. It was his school.

Carefully, she printed: Fukutomi Juichi, suicide, in two days from now after publicly confessing how he cheated to the InterHigh judges.

There! That should take care of everything.

Pleased with herself, she stood up and dusted off her skirt. Meyahra read the instructions and wrinkled the ridge on her face that Miki thought of as a nose.

“Next time,” Meyahra advised, “Write the mode of death as a haiku.”
