Let's finish SASO 2017 with a bang. This bonus bonus round allows any kind of prompt imaginable in any format. The sky's the limit!



SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

 

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with literally any kind of prompt, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms, with the following caveats:
  • Large image prompts should be thumbnailed and linked to, as explained here.
  • Fanart/fanfiction/fanwork prompts are only allowed if you created the fanwork yourself or if you have explicit permission to use it, and proof of permission must be linked to in your prompt header.
  • Quote prompts can come from almost anything, but please don't quote personal conversations you've had or overheard.
  • Reposting prompts is fine, but be respectful and keep crediting in mind. A prompt belongs to the person who posted it to this round, and who can fill it is determined by whether or not they are on that person's team.
    • If reposting a br2 (tic tac toe) prompt, please post each prompt square as its own individual comment. Posting tic tac toe boards wholesale will crash our br scorer and the bonus doesn't apply for this round, anyway.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Akira & Hikaru). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Akira/Hikaru). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• Besides that, if you want to prompt something, regardless of format—even formats not previously allowed in SASO—go right ahead. If you're unsure you can ask us for clarification, but tbh just go for the gold.
• Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with a fanwork.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:
First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

They are monsters and the world has nothing fit to fight them.

Akashi is their leader and strategist; he says ‘come with me to Rakuzen, they’ll give you full scholarships’, so they graduate with degrees from an excellent school and an unbeaten record. The Uncrowned Kings that had been in the year above them in Rakuzen aren’t happy to be pushed off the team for a squad of first years but the Miracles challenge them to a match - winner is first string - and beat them soundly.

After that, the other schools don’t stand a chance.

Seirin has an Uncrowned King and a brash young newcomer from America; the Miracles crush them all the harder for the new boy even thinking that he could compare to them. Better to beat all the hope out of them than have them limping behind, swearing vengeance to their uncaring backs.

“It’s merciful,” Akashi explains when Kuroko turns doubting eyes on him. “It’s a mercy killing.”

Kirisaki Daiichi tries to take them out rather than win; in the bathroom, Akashi bumps into Hananiya and smiles, sharp and cold as a knife.

“I never knew you were such an altruist, Makoto. You’ll forfeit this game to make the season easier for the other teams?”

Hanamiya’s eyes gleam as he smiles, “Oh, Akashi, there’s so much you don’t know about me.”

“No,” Akashi disagrees calmly, “There really isn’t.”

When Hanamiya falls on the court, it’s Murasakibara who falls on top of him.

“Spiders are easy to squash,” he rumbles against Hanamiya’s ear before he clambers off gracelessly.

Kuroko looks at Akashi and Akashi asks, “Don’t you believe the punishment should fit the crime, Tetsuya?”

Touou’s strategist is clever.

Against Akashi, clever is not enough.

“We’ll play in the college leagues for a term,” Akashi says as graduation nears. “That’s where the real attention is. Once we’re recruited for the Japanese Basketball League, we’ll talk to the NBA. The NBA is discussing expansion - there’s a chance we can emerge as a team together instead of being sold off piecemeal or having to accept lower rates in order to play together.”

“And if they decide not to expand?” Midorima asks, logical as always.

“Then it depends on what you want. The NBA wages are higher than if we stay with the Japanese League. Even Europe would pay us better. Splitting up is an option.” Akashi’s voice is absolutely calm but Kuroko reaches over and rests his hand over Akashi’s fingers.

He touches the corner of Akashi’s eyes and asks, “Can’t you persuade the NBA to expand?”

Kise grins, “Maybe we can challenge all their teams to a tournament! If we win, we become a new team and knock one of theirs out!”

“This isn’t e-sports,” Akashi says but smiles slightly anyway. “I’ll see what I can do.”

The Japanese National Team is composed solely of the Miracles. They win gold by such a margin that everyone comes courting them.

Akashi keeps the team together. Akashi gets them everything they want.

From Teiko to the NBA, they carry off all the medals.

Their rule is undisputed; their rule is absolute.

This is amazing!! I really love how many little vignettes you were able to tell about the team and how you carried their stories throughout time. I love imagining how amazing the Teiko team could have been if it hadn't all gone sour and this prompt does a wonderful job at showing how dominant they would have been. Thanks for filling my prompt!
