We've reached the end of the road at last: the final post of SASO 2015! For the last three months you have worked hard; made friends; created thousands of fanworks; and generally done yourselves, your teams, and your fandom proud.

LOOKING FORWARD
We do plan to run an event this winter. We're debating between either a second Inter High Exchange or an event similar to the bonus rounds.
Please let us know what you'd like to see by voting here!
Lastly...yes, we're going to try to run a SASO 2016. ;D Keep an eye on our tumblr and twitter around next March for when nominations open up.
We're so very proud of you, and we hope that this summer is something you look back on with pride for years to come. Whether your team placed high or not, whether you worked on both or neither of your team's main round entries, whether you created a million bonus round fills or just one, this summer you probably pushed yourself hard and did things you'd never done before. Your fandoms and your ships are richer for your effort and the work you've created. Thank you for everything! You did it!!
Final reminders that all bonus rounds are eternally open for fills. You can give us feedback on the event here, where the refs will be hanging out for the next week or so.
Feel free to use this post to celebrate yourselves and each other, reminisce about the summer, and generally party hard. You all rock! See you next year! :)

PROMPT: TEAM KOUSAKA HONOKA/MINAMI KOTO-- I MEAN, THANK YOU.
Most of all though I'd like to thank
I also had the chance to be social media mod, which mostly meant that I posted stuff on Twitter dot com under the username @AnimeESPN. Mostly memes and dicking around with people, but if you ever felt personally victimized by the SASO Twitter account well you now know who it mostly was. When I first agreed to be social media mod I actually never thought I was going to make friends from that account... ha ha ha look where I am now, oops. I hope you guys enjoyed my stupid jokes. I know I enjoyed making them.
Special thanks to the mod squad, both for organizing this event and for being a drama-free, super-chill, generally awesome group of people to work with. Going in I was really worried there would be drama or bullshit but there was none. Any disagreements were settled maturely and I'm glad to not just call you guys coworkers, but friends. So let's give it up to
I also really want to point out that Team ImaNaru had some incredible entries and there was literally nothing you guys did that I didn't love. I'm not even that much of an ImaNaru but I probably pimped your entries to my friends so much they got sick of me, SASO or not SASO. Same with team T2, though T2 was already my OTP and I would have been on your team if it wasn't for my vice-captain cyberbullying me into doing this ship.
I've made a lot of friends during this event and I'd probably be here forever if I called them all out, but I think
I'd also like to call out
ALSO, #KUROKEN2k16 k I'm done.
Re: PROMPT: TEAM KOUSAKA HONOKA/MINAMI KOTO-- I MEAN, THANK YOU.
LET IWAOI HELL LIVE FOREVER
Re: PROMPT: TEAM KOUSAKA HONOKA/MINAMI KOTO-- I MEAN, THANK YOU.
Ayyyyyyyy lmao
Anyways.
I love my team. Thank you
We had two members that had to discontinue SASO due to family stress and medical issues and, though they were not able to contribute to points in the event overall, they continued to be with the entire team in spirit.
We dedicate our work to them, as well as to twitter user @cuchavira (Betty aka Bea) whom is the biggest TanaNoya shipper I know and honestly I am a better man for knowing her and learning her frustrations with the "blanket brotp" staple for the ship. In comparison to the heteronormative bullshit and referring to Suga as "Mama" in MY OTP, DaiSuga, it became clear we needed to be the team that brought TanaNoya to substantial romo/sexual ship status and just just the "Oh they'll never be more than the most confortable friends" troupe you often find.
I'm not salty at all. (Ironically I am a member of a tournament running crew for console gaming called Salty Mayhem - and I run anime fighting games. So actually, I am extrememly salt. All the time.)
Extremely proud of my team, extremely proud of everyone our team interacted with, bounced ideas with for bonus rounds, etc. My brain isn't awake so Tadokoro is currently yelling how hungry he is and thanking everyone on the behalf the kin uh.
I should, sleep. And do this when I'm not slightly tipsy uh.
Love you guys sorry I'm pushing myself yet again and my QP Tyv is going to kick my ass when he finds out I'm trying to do feedback when I should be trying to rest- a concept I know nothing of. Uh. Oops?
Thank you again.

Er... question first before I get into this. "Dampest"?
Edit: Laptop is charged now so! This was a real ride from start to finish. I'm still just... WHEEZES... about how to describe how this all has been. It's hard to gather the words. It was a lot of fun, though many times I was considering dropping out (and friends tried telling me to) because of mental health reasons. But I'm far too stubborn. Sobs quietly.
The above response does also remind me of how it is a point of wanting to do well by RinHaru, because in fandom it's a ship that has a... rather divisive reception. That is to say, you can hardly look it up on twitter or tumblr without running into unfavorable opinions about it almost right away (and like above, Haru and Rin sometimes get pushed into heteronormative roles particularly in certain ships). It ranges from the simply annoying to the downright disgusting, and this does wear on the morale of fellow shippers like ones that just want to see some RinHaru and gush about it. Not only that but I feel many wave Rin off as the "bad boy" even now, when he is so much more. Or that people think that RinHaru is just about angst or sexual tension or... something.
So I really wanted to do the best I could to represent it well and create content that the fans would enjoy, and maybe convince others to take a look at it too. And many really loved our visual novel, Fluid Dynamics. It was a great feeling seeing so many people livetweet it and react to the good ending especially. So I'm really happy that I could contribute to this fandom of a ship that I adore more than any ship I have ever shipped before. Oh and to those who are interested: we're making an updated rerelease with a lot of new content later on, so keep an eye out! Follow tumblr rinharudw for news and other RinHaru content /plug
And well, the ship I represent is made of two people who have hit some pretty low lows before, but with some love and support, they were inspired to not give up. And so with my friends and team, that inspired me to work hard and not give up either!
This has definitely been a learning experience as well. I don't think I've ever been in charge of a group with such a big event before, and I found ways to organize our efforts that really paid off in the end. Especially in the BRs, which were chaotic by nature! Thank you team for doing it all with me... it was so much. Sadly I didn't socialize too much with other teams, though.
All the mods who put this together as for sports anime fans, by sports anime fans-- that's a really cool thing to do, and it helps bring people together more which is what fandom should be all about. Even though it is a competition, from what I saw it stayed drama-free. And all of my fellow captains taking charge, all fellow competitors getting into it... it was a really great setting. It kept me constantly drawing (something I need to keep up the habit of to improve) and I even tried writing (something I have no confidence in myself to do but I just have these ideas!)
Thanks for such an eventful summer, aha! It depends on what I'm doing next year, but I am totally considering the idea of coming back for the next SASO. Fourth place is pretty awesome in the face of such stiff competition, but maybe we can get to the podium next time...
