Bonus Round 2: AUs

Bonus Round 2: AUs

SASO 2015 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

This round is made for exploration of all those "what-if?" scenarios, like "what if my favorite sports anime was actually a spaghetti western?" or "what if everything was the same except everyone was actually a car?"

This round ends at 7PM on June 27 EDT. Countdown Timer.

RULES
  • Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms.
  • An AU could be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [team] didn't win the Inter High in season 1, but [other team] did instead?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g.s pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
  • Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
  • Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

Bonus round shenanigans all happen in the comments below. Brand-new works only, please.

Required Work Minimums:

Posts not using this format will be understood to be unofficial discussion posts, regardless of what they contain. They, like all comments in this community, are subject to the code of conduct.

SCORING
These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Etc.
If you're hunting through the prompts looking for what to fill, a good trick is to view top-level comments only.

Have a question? Check The FAQ first. If you still need help, feel free to contact the mods. Happy fanworking!

only rated T for language because I'm vulgar.

He could hear the murmur of the crowd, polite but anxious, as they waited for the fashion show to start. They were behind schedule, but in the way that “fashionably-late” was named for. This was high fashion, and no one rushed the artists. Hajime wasn’t even sure that what he was wearing qualified as clothing at this point but he’d stopped actually looking at the clothes years ago. He focused on the feelings, on his expression, on his walk.

He’d always been disadvantaged as a model, too short, skin slightly too dark, shoulders too broad for high fashion, but he’d fought his way to the top, and he was determined to stay there. A tap on his shoulder brought him out of his reverie and he turned and scowled before he even saw who it was.

“Oh, sorry, didn’t realize you were already focusing.” Daichi said, that goofy smile on his face.

“You should have expected it, I go out in less than ten.”

Daichi patted him on the shoulder, careful not to disturb the clothes, and smiled again. Hajime loved that smile, as much as he hated to admit he loved anything, and Daichi knew it. He could get anything he wanted if he’d only ask.

A makeup artist bustled by, shoving Daichi roughly out of the way with her shoulder, as she applied some last minute touchups to Hajime’s face and neck.

“Shouldn’t you be dressed?” He asked Daichi, once the makeup artist was gone again.

“I’ve got time. I wanted to see you off.”

“You wanted to stare at my ass.” Hajime countered, and couldn’t stop the smile of his own.

“You know me too well.”

“Damn right I do.”

The person with the earpiece near the stage entrance waved him over and he risked a quick peck to Daichi’s cheek before he left. Of course he’d completely lost his focus, but he never truly had any chance of focusing to begin with, not with Daichi in a ten mile radius.

The flashbulbs were blinding, as usual, and he felt his eyes would water if he held out from squinting any longer. He kept his expression neutral, the irritated look that had become his signature, and sooner than he realized he was off the stage again. He only had one walk tonight; taller models, or ones with more traditional bodies got more attention, but tonight he was grateful, after Daichi’s walk they would be free to go, and he was dying for something more substantial than salad.

He watched what he could, peering through the curtain where Daichi strutted on the stage, laughing at the look of charming abandon on his face, he was the boy next door type, and he was damn good at his job.

When Daichi was free from obligation, and both of them had changed back into real clothes, Hajime greeted him with a kiss, pressing a palm to each cheek. When he pulled away he smiled.

“Let’s get out of here, okay? I’m done with this bullshit for today.”

“Just for today, though, right? Because I have a shoot tomorrow and I want you to come.” Daichi smiled, and laced their fingers together.

“Yeah, yeah, just for today, shut up already.”
