Let's start our summer by looking at the past—things that happened in canon, or maybe in an AU, or maybe just as wishful thinking...

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on June 9 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible. (There are changes from last year!)

RULES

Submit prompts by commenting to this post! You prompt should consist of one scenario beginning with the phrase "Remember when", along with any ship/ot3/etc. from our list of nominated fandoms.
- Your prompts can take the form of recalling canon facts/events ("Remember when Nozomi and Eli got parfaits after school?"), non-canon events ("Remember when Megumi and Jin met at the Tadokoro Family Reunion?"), or somewhere in-between ("Remember when Bokuto and Kenma first met?"). Headcanons and AUs are welcome!
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Rei & Nagisa). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Rei/Nagisa). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!

“What do you mean you’re not dating?” Sawamura gapes; staring at his senpai holding hands unabashedly.

“Honestly Sawamura, you really are stupid aren’t you?” Miyuki snickers.

“It’s called gay chicken, Bakamura. It’s just a game.” Kuramochi cackles.

“But…but…” Sawamura struggles to understand, running a hand through his hair. “I caught you making out yesterday in our room. Asada swears he saw you guys grinding behind an equipment shed…”

“Ga-ay…” Miyuki sounds it out carefully.

“Chicken,” Kuramochi finishes with a wolfish grin.

“That doesn’t make any sense,” Sawamura groans, hiding his face in his hands. “What are the rules?” He peeks through his fingers, face red.

“Whadda ya mean?” Kuramochi asks.

“How do you play gay chicken? If it’s a game there’s got to be rules right?” The pitcher asks, staring at Kuramochi and Miyuki’s hands while his elders think about it.

“You can’t back down,” Kuramochi nods.

“No flinching, if you flinch you lose,” Miyuki adds.

“Is that it?” Sawamura asks incredulously, dropping his hands.

“Yeah, it’s so simple even you could understand,” Kuramochi laughs.

“Why do you want to know Sawamura? Thinking about playing with someone on the team?”

“N-no!” Sawamura splutters. “That-that’s stupid I don’t want to play I’m just curious.”

“If you do want to play you’ll have to find someone else to play with, we’re already playing together.” Kuramochi says seriously.

“Wait a minute, you only play together?” Sawamura asks.

They both nod.

“So you play together exclusively? You only hold hands and makeout with each other?”

“Yeah,” Miyuki rolls his eyes and gives Kuramochi a look that says clearly ‘what an idiot’.

“Dating!” Sawamura points at them, “That’s dating! You guys are totally dating you’re just messing with me!”

“How many times do we have to tell you, we’re not dating!” Kuramochi shakes his fist at him and Sawamura is sure if he wasn’t still holding Miyuki’s hand he’d be kicking Sawamura’s ass.

“How long have you guys been togeth- er…I mean how long have you been playing?” Sawamura asks.

“Three years,” they answer together.

“Have you…you know?” Sawamura asks, blushing fiercely.

“Have we had sex?” Miyuki laughs into his free hand.

“Yeah,” Kuramochi snickers. “I thought Miyuki would lose for sure but he didn’t. I mean he flinched a little…”

“I did not,” Miyuki objects, narrowing his eyes at his not-boyfriend.

“You totally did. I don’t think it counted though because it was when I put my –”

“NOT LISTENING!” Sawamura interrupts, covering his red ears with his hands. “I get it, you don’t have to say anything more but uh, out of curiosity, what would happen if one of you backed down? Would you stop playing if one of you lost?”

“That’s ridiculous; I’m not going to lose to Miyuki.”

“That’s funny Youichi-kun, I feel the same; there’s no way I’m losing,” Miyuki grins.

“Well uh, good luck with that, I think I hear Yui calling me so…see you guys later, hopefully with your pants on,” Sawamura backs away before turning and breaking into a run.
