You've created so much during this event, so here's a round to celebrate each other's achievements!

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on August 24 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

• Recommend at least three fanworks from main or bonus rounds. Your recommendations don’t have to be connected in any way, and you do not need permission to recommend a work.
• Don't rec your own work. You can recommend things created by your own team, but please spread the love to other teams too.
• Each recommendation must include at least two sentences explaining why that fanwork is awesome. Please use the format specified below.
• You may recommend as many works as you like, as long as they are posted separately in groups of at least three.
• There will be no prompts for this round. Simply post each fill/recommendation list as a comment in response to this post.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

Theme: Shokugeki no Souma Fic Fills

Title: Jouchirou Loses to Dojima

Why is this work awesome?: I love this fic best for the tension it builds through the rhythm of the sentences as the competition between Jouchirou and Dojima progresses along. I love that between Dojima and the judges, Dojima appreciates Jouchirou's food far more because he can taste them in the cooking. Jouchirou's line in the series about how the trick to being a great chef is finding a woman you want to devote all your cooking to has always stood out, and this fic encapsulates that with Jouchirou and Dojima's relationship in a really great way.

Why is this work awesome?: The best thing about this fic is definitely how well Snow writes children. His voice for young Souma is spot on, and I really adore the palpable fondness Jouchirou has for his son that comes through in the writing. It's a neatly-bundled little moment and I also love that it's presented as a flashback, because it's really great seeing Souma's beginning as a chef contrasted with the way some of his peers at Totsuki approach cooking.

Why is this work awesome?: This is a really cute fic where Takumi gives Souma a gift, only for Souma to put it to use in his cooking after inviting Takumi to visit at his family's diner. It's partially told from Takumi's brother's perspective, to show how much Takumi stresses over the gift, the wrapping, the note, over all of the details that go into every thing that he does. He likewise overthinks all of the details of meeting up with Souma but once cooking comes into the picture, he begins to return to ease.
