You've created so much during this event, so here's a round to celebrate each other's achievements!

This round is CLOSED as of 7PM on August 24 EDT. Late fills may be posted, but they will not receive points.

RULES

Recommend at least three fanworks from main or bonus rounds. Your recommendations don’t have to be connected in any way, and you do not need permission to recommend a work.
Don't rec your own work. You can recommend things created by your own team, but please spread the love to other teams too.
Each recommendation must include at least two sentences explaining why that fanwork is awesome. Please use the format specified below.
You may recommend as many works as you like, as long as they are posted separately in groups of at least three.

Theme: Prince of Tennis Fills, Volume 5 (Fuji/Inui Edition)

Title: Inui Dissects Fuji, For Science

Why is this work awesome?: This is not a fic for the faint of heart; definitely mind the tags. That said, it's an incredibly fascinating fic most of all because it is so matter-of-fact. Rather than skew the dissection to be something sexual, or with sexualized overtones, the entire scene plays out with clinical precision. Inui wants to know why Fuji is immune to his juice. Inui finds out that it's because of Fuji's inhuman biology, and records every detail of it that he can deduce. It's also a really neat fic in that there's a whole extra layer to the Prince of Tennis world present behind the premise: this is a reality where Fuji and Yuuto can both heal themselves from impossible amounts of damage, Fuji slowly without pain, Yuuto immediately but with full awareness of the pain. I find the world of this fic to be really fascinating, all the more so because of how glancingly it's touched upon.

Why is this work awesome?: This is a fic where Fuji cannot allow Inui to overcome him with juice; he has to return the favor. The singular best line is when Fuji says, "It’s only your own juice. It’s a poor doctor that’s afraid to take his own medicine, Inui-san" because it has just the right undercurrent of menace, of a knife edge beneath perfect polish, that sums up Fuji in this fic. It's tense and uncomfortable and a little bit sensual in spite of that, which is delightful because that's the side of Fuji which is the most fun to see.

Why is this work awesome?: I absolutely adore this fic for the worldbuilding, both in the broad strokes used to paint Fuji and Inui's presence on their space ship, and even more so with the framing of Fuji and Inui in the AU. Inui is avatar for the ship they're on, a machine intelligence with great processing power. Fuji is a collective consciousness bee alien. I love how this parallels the two of them, how they're each logical and far-knowing through different means, and I love that this means Inui is fascinated with Fuji. I adore the push-and-pull between them and I adore most of all how coy Fuji is about it, it's a really nice portrayal of the possible dynamic between the two of them.
