Bonus Round 1: Quotes

SASO 2015 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

PLAY BALL! For this round, we'd like you to take inspiration from songs, sayings, poems, and other kinds of famous words.

Because this is our first full round, please read this post carefully before proceeding!

This round ends at 7PM on June 13 EDT. Countdown Timer.

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
  • Example: "Hi-ho, Kermit the Frog here!" -Kermit the Frog
  • The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
  • Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Yachi & Kiyoko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Yachi/Kiyoko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
• Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

I like to think about Rin coming back to visit Rei and see how he is doing as a third year captain of Iwatobi.

They were in the age of communication, of cheap phone plans, quick and easy half sentence text messages, video chat, and instant streaming, but there was an weird finality to the goodbye.

They'd met and grown close over a shared passion and a shared dream, but the latter, at least, was something that was always going to end. Their Inter-High was over. Their high school days were over. And from here, their paths diverged to different roads, different futures, different dreams anew.

Aoyagi doubted that either of them would ever tire of cycling, but their competitive careers were ending with graduation. And what was left but to note the nice spring weather and the pleasantness of riding casually? There was no longer a goal to chase, and between them was a strangely comfortable silence where plans to conquer and jestful conversations of world domination used to be. Outside of cycling, they didn't have a lot to talk about. In the age of easy speaking, they found that they had nothing to say.

And that was fine. Everything ended. Maybe not forever, but for now. Perhaps they'd meet again in a year, visiting home for the holidays. Perhaps they'd miss each other then, and meet instead by chance in some other city, some other time. Perhaps it would be another ten years before they stood side by side with stories to share and to reminisce about. Aoyagi didn't know, but he knew they'd meet again, and that they'd still be friends, and that they'd find something to talk about then.

In the time in between, it'd be lonely. But probably only for a little while. The world was large and vast. Aoyagi wasn't good at making friends, but he had gotten better at it. Teshima had helped. He'd be okay. They'd both be.

"Thank you," Teshima said at the train station.

"For what?"

"I dunno," the taller boy said, grinning. "Everything, maybe. We made a good team. I'm gonna miss you."

Aoyagi nodded, then looked away. Already on the horizon, he could see the small dot growing rapidly. "You didn't have to see me off so early in the morning," he said quietly.

Teshima laughed. "As if I wouldn't."

"Good luck, Junta," Aoyagi said, glancing back to him as the train pulled up next to them.

"You too."

Then Aoyagi stepped onto the train. When the door closed, Teshima was yelling something and grinning. As the train pulled away, he ran beside it until he reached the end of the platform. And then he was gone, and Aoyagi hadn't figured out what he'd been trying to say.

When Aoyagi settled down into his seat though, his phone buzzed. One text from the friend left behind: Have a good trip. Talk to you soon.

Aoyagi smiled.
