Bonus Round 1: Quotes

SASO 2015 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

PLAY BALL! For this round, we'd like you to take inspiration from songs, sayings, poems, and other kinds of famous words.

Because this is our first full round, please read this post carefully before proceeding!

RULES

Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "Hi-ho, Kermit the Frog here!" -Kermit the Frog
- The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Yachi & Kiyoko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Yachi/Kiyoko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.
Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
You cannot fill your team's prompts or your own prompts.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

participant 9 here. hello from #SWAG2016...! have both the bird kids.

hinata can fly. he knows this and everyone on his team, anyone who has ever seen him jump, knows this. but hinata doesn't feel the wind skate through his wings until he and kageyama pull off the new quick for the first time in an official match. hinata slams onto the ground with a thud, landing on his back after his spike, but the adrenaline coursing through his veins overrides it all.

asahi lifts him up, and hinata stares dumbfounded because he's not used to being up in the air like this. but even with asahi's hands gripping his armpits a little too tightly, he feels the cheers from every single member of karasuno reverberating past his ears, into his skull, and hinata feels then that this is where he's meant to be.

asahi sets him down in the middle when the rest of the team crowds around him and they take turns ruffling his hair, patting him on the back or shoulder, and high-fiving him. hinata's palms burn after suga's high fives and he looks down at them. there are scratches on them and some parts are sore and tender and fleshy but he clenches his fists and revels in the burn. he flew close to the sun and it warmed his skin, his spirit, his soul.

on the pitch, mihashi adjusts his cap and clutches the baseball in his hand. he's already struck out the batter twice. one more out. there's runners on second and third and his heartbeat is throbbing in his ears. his left hand is sweating underneath the pitcher's glove, and he feels each individual bead of sweat slide down his back. he straightens up and looks over to where abe is watching him, eyes straight and never leaving mihashi, whether they're on the field or off. abe gives him a sign and nods, says no more.

i can do it, mihashi tells himself. he glances over to the dugout where his other teammates are yelling, their arms flailing wildly.

"one, two, three--NICE PITCHING!" they scream in unison. mihashi's heart clenches at the sound of their combined voices. nishiura have made it this far. nishiura have made it this far with him. because of him.

i can do it, he thinks again. i am good enough! he releases a fastball to the bottom right corner and holds his breath as the batter swings

and

misses.

"strike three! you're out!" the batter kicks at the ground then walks off toward his own dugout.

"MIHAAAAAAAASHI!" his teammates scream. he looks over to coach momokan is standing and she grins at him and throws him a thumb's up. mihashi clutches his chest.

above him, the sun beats down and mihashi's smile is warm as he wipes at the sweat on his forehead.
