SASO 2015 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

PLAY BALL! For this round, we'd like you to take inspiration from songs, sayings, poems, and other kinds of famous words.

Because this is our first full round, please read this post carefully before proceeding!

RULES

Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "Hi-ho, Kermit the Frog here!" -Kermit the Frog
- The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Yachi & Kiyoko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Yachi/Kiyoko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.
Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
You cannot fill your team's prompts or your own prompts.

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

The crowd is a loud roar, thunderous with excitement, and Teshima pushes harder for the finish line, ten meters, now nine, and then all he can hear is the shrill of the wind in his ear, and he knows exactly what that means. They’ve been doing this for years, and the burn in his blood is familiar, like not quite an old friend, like that particular feeling of being alive. Teshima crosses first, takes the peak, tastes the victory like air and light and the salt of sweat on this tongue. He makes an effort not to look behind him.

Teshima finds him afterward, much, much later, roped into the loud drunken revelry of his cycling team. Manami has a cap pulled low over his face, but Teshima recognises the easy slouch of his body against the wall at the back of the club, doesn’t even need to run his hands up that long line of his legs to know them. Manami doesn’t look up as he approaches, but Teshima can see his lips move, an almost too casual smile lifting the corners of his mouth; Teshima leans in close to catch the words, lost to the music’s heavy bass already running like fever in his blood, and someone who aligns strategies as meticulously as he does should have known better to make such a simple mistake. There’s suddenly a painful press of fingers wrapped around his wrist and a look of delight in Manami’s eyes, much too wild, but the heat striking right under his skin is making Teshima lightheaded in the low light, and he can feel a smile equally wild twist his own mouth.

He remembers when they first started chasing each other; he doesn’t remember when it turned into this.

The door that leads into the back of the alley hasn’t even slammed shut yet and Manami has Teshima’s face pressed into the wall, deft fingers working at the zipper of his pants. Everything is moving too fast, but everything always moves too fast, with him, with Manami, it’s the only way they know how, and it makes Teshima laugh, high and almost feverish. “Don’t congratulate me or anything.” It comes out breathless, vowels breaking on the way Manami wraps fingers around him, already moving fast and slick. The muffled beat of the heavy bass filters through the thin walls, still much too loud, and it’s like Teshima can hear the beating of his too fast heart around him, filling the dark.

When Teshima comes, he can feel Manami’s teeth against his throat, mouthing a congratulations into the marks he leaves on Teshima’s skin.

In particular, I absolutely adore, "Teshima leans in close to catch the words, lost to the music’s heavy bass already running like fever in his blood, and someone who aligns strategies as meticulously as he does should have known better to make such a simple mistake." I keep rereading that line and near falling over myself, that's such a perfect feeling for what I love with the two of them, it's so much more than I had ever even begun to hope for, I'm ECSTATIC.
