Bonus Round 1: Quotes

SASO 2015 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

PLAY BALL! For this round, we'd like you to take inspiration from songs, sayings, poems, and other kinds of famous words.

Because this is our first full round, please read this post carefully before proceeding!

This round ends at 7PM on June 13 EDT. Countdown Timer.

RULES

Submit prompts by commenting to this post with a quote attributed to a specific person or character, along with any ship/ot3/etc. from one of our nominated fandoms.
- Example: "Hi-ho, Kermit the Frog here!" -Kermit the Frog
- The quote can come from anywhere. Famous people, poetry, songs, books, movies, your neighbor, etc.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Yachi & Kiyoko). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Yachi/Kiyoko). Please don't say "Any pairing," either!
Fill prompts by replying to the prompt with your quote-inspired fanwork.
Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

"I want us to win Nationals," Suga suddenly declared one fall day, placing his chopsticks on the top of his bento with a stone-serious look.

They hadn't even been talking about volleyball at the moment, they hadn't been talking much about anything. Even though it had been months ago, he, Daichi, and Asahi still found themselves stewing over their bitter defeat at Inter-High, followed by their almost immediate disqualification during the first round of the Spring High preliminary. It still stung to think about, so they tried their best not to - but without volleyball their conversations were surprisingly stagnant.

Asahi shrugged, and didn't look up.

Daichi sighed, "Yeah, well...I wanted to too."

"No, I'm saying - I want us to win Nationals."

And that caught Asahi's attention, because what? That didn't make any sense. He looked up, "We can't play with just three people...?"

Suga sighed, and rubbed his face, "I know that. Just..." he placed his hands on on Daichi's desk, where they'd all gathered for lunch just as always, "this isn't a team. The third years are gone now, the second years are all way too focused on getting scouted next year. Where does that leave us?"

"The same place we've always been..."

"Exactly!"

Daichi leaned back, "Yeah, but what can we do about it? Maybe we'll get some strong first years next year and we'll actually make it."

"Daichi, do you seriously think anybody would want to come to Karasuno after this season? We're not even scouting anybody. Look, what I'm saying is, if we want to go to Nationals before we graduate, the three of us need to put in the work."

"But...Sugawara-kun-"

"Asahi, 'Suga'."

"...what about the senpai? Won't they get upset if we go behind their backs?"

"Then that's their problem. I think we can do this."

Daichi snickered, "I love it when you're assertive," he didn't pay it any mind when Suga swatted at him, "Alright...I'm in. Asahi?"

Part of him wanted to say no, but another (probably a selfish, overly assertive side he kept buried deep down )clawed at the back of his mind. He thought back to junior high and what if felt like to play on an actual team, the sour feeling in his stomach that still lingered even though their season was over, and how amazing it would feel to stand on a national stage. Plus Daichi was staring him down, and he was a little scared to think about what he would say if he said no. "What do we need to do first...?"

Suga grinned and pulled a notebook from his desk, opening it up, "I heard Chidoriyama has a great Libero - maybe we can take the train there later today?"

"What about Tanaka at Ayano?" Daichi suggested, "He's kind of aggressive and hasn't gotten that might play time, but have you seen his spike?"
