SASO 2015 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).
PLAY BALL! For this round, we'd like you to take inspiration from songs, sayings, poems, and other kinds of famous words.
Because this is our first full round, please read this post carefully before proceeding!
This round ends at 7PM on June 13 EDT. Countdown Timer.

FILL: TEAM YOWAMUSHI PEDAL, T
word count: 402
Boop. Boop. Boop.
“Hello? Oikawa-san? Can I ask you to open your eyes for me please…thank you.”
Despite still being crusty from the artificially- induced sleep, Oikawa Tooru was just about able to muster the strength to open up his eyes and look into the light of the torch, held in the nurse’s hand. He let out a soft moan at the intensity of the thing…wait…
“Whr-hgk”, attempts to form some sort of dialogue were lost to him.
What he’d been trying to ask was, what the hell was he doing here and why was he lying in intensive care? He couldn’t recall arriving here…he must have hit his head at some point?
Had he been in an accident of some sort, or had he just collapsed from a heart failure (he’d heard that can happen sometimes out of nowhere in young athletes)? Or maybe…aliens?!
Dying to know, yet extremely exhausted, he drifted off despite himself and foreboding thoughts were shielded from view, like the nurse had shut the door.
----------------------------
Knocking three times before entering, albeit hesitantly, he found himself alone in the room. With two armchairs situated either side of a low coffee table, the furniture wasn’t as he had expected. On TV and in the movies they presented them like laboratories; clean and professional, with no hint of humanity. But in reality, counselling was about the human, he guessed. And this normal setting must be in some way an effort to comfort him, to make him feel as if he was having a chat with grandma…when actually he would be trying to salvage what was left of his life.
You see the operation had changed a lot of things. He had traded a few things in that operating theatre which he could never reverse. Tirelessly through the night the surgical team had worked to salvage his half-dead body and by George, should he be thankful. But he wasn’t.
One doesn’t often consider the donor when a transplant has been done, we thank them and bless them, but try to not think much of it. Tooru wished he could stop thinking and forget those childhood games. Playing the doctor, his Iwa-chan the patient… laying him out in his sister’s dolly bed and resting an ear on his chest, listening to the pound of his heart. But when that heart was beating so painfully in his own, it was hard to ignore.
