Bonus Round 2: AUs
Bonus Round 2: AUs
SASO 2015 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).
This round is made for exploration of all those "what-if?" scenarios, like "what if my favorite sports anime was actually a spaghetti western?" or "what if everything was the same except everyone was actually a car?"
This round ends at 7PM on June 27 EDT. Countdown Timer.
RULES
- Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms.
- An AU could be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [team] didn't win the Inter High in season 1, but [other team] did instead?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g.s pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
- Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

There were always rumors about the Crows of Miyagi, things that average people wouldn't believe when they looked out in the quietness of the northern suburb, one that was surrounded by fields and barely touched into the network of Sendai. One wouldn't think such a simple looking place could hold rumors of men and women who claimed their territory with blood on their knuckles and bone dust on their shoes. That just didn't seem quite right.
But it's always easy to look away into things lit up by the sun and ignore how dark the shadows go.
It was like this for years, until all of the sudden it wasn't.
They were alone then, running away from empty homes or scars left by people who were bigger and stronger. People who should've known better.
It's coincidence they meet, or maybe the blessings of Lady Luck in her own twisted way. Suga remembers the crack of brass breaking through crocodile tears when teasing and taunting became all too much, when a boy taller yet just as skinny as him couldn't take it. Asahi remembers being cut by obsidian, eyes fierce and unrelenting as anything he had ever seen. Daichi remembers light cast through silver, helping him up after he took an violent punch to the jaw into a muddle puddle that same downcast afternoon.
It wasn't a pretty meeting by any means, but it was seismic, equal quakes felt through the three of them for reasons they couldn't full grasp yet.
It didn't take long before the three of them were stealing chocolates from window displays together, running for their lives down crooked alleyways and hiding in stranger's yards to share the spoils.
"You three." Kiyoko told them one day, helping them wipe mud from their faces like she was a big sister instead of the very same age, "Are such an unruly flock, you know that?"
Her chiding didn't stop their laughter and light embarrassed blushes, even when they don't fully grasp the meaning of her words. And it certainly doesn't stop the way the three of them slide up next to each other around a flashlight in Kiyoko's tiny room, each of them whispering stories of the gangs of old, the mythical Karasuno that always stuck by one another, who evaded even the worst of Shiratorizawa or so long, who fought and won their territory and made the lines in the sand to defend their homes. They way they used to be, long before they disappeared.
"What happened to them, anyway?" Suga asked, eyes wide and curious.
Daichi does his best not to wince, not to think about the ransacked apartment or his parents who he'll probably never see again, pushes it away as Kiyoko gives a small shrug.
"I dunno."
Asahi's eyes go wide, "Do you think they'll come back?"
"They will."
All three turn to Daichi, eyes wide, wondering where such a hard line of his mouth came from under the baby fat in his cheeks.
"I'll do it myself if I have to."
