Bonus Round 2: AUs

SASO 2015 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).


This round is made for exploration of all those "what-if?" scenarios, like "what if my favorite sports anime was actually a spaghetti western?" or "what if everything was the same except everyone was actually a car?"


This round ends at 7PM on June 27 EDT. Countdown Timer.

RULES

• Submit prompts by commenting to this post with an alternate universe idea, along with a ship from one of our nominated fandoms.
• An AU could be a canon divergence, e.g. "what if [team] didn't win the Inter High in season 1, but [other team] did instead?", or a completely different setting altogether, e.g.s pop idol AU, coffee shop AU, superheroes AU, etc.
• Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.

FORMAT

Bonus round shenanigans all happen in the comments below. Brand-new works only, please.

Required Work Minimums:

• 400 words (prose)
• 400px by 400px (art)
• 14 lines (poetry)

There is no max work cap.

SCORING

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

For fills:

First 3 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 4-10: 10 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21+: 2 points each

All scored content must be created new for this round.

Title: Swimming Interlude

“C’mon, Pikachu!” Nagisa ran toward the lake with his Pikachu bounding alongside him. “You too, Sylveon! Haru-chan’s probably already there!”

It didn’t take long for them to get there. Sure enough, once they reached the water’s edge, Haru’s Vaporeon leaped out of the water and onto the shore. She shook the water from her back and ran toward Sylveon immediately, brushing her head under his chin. Nagisa looked into the water, with Pikachu right next to him doing the same. After a few more minutes, Haru’s Milotic breached, followed swiftly by Haru himself, clad only in his usual black jammers with purple accents. Nagisa waved excitedly.

“Haru-chan!” he cried, throwing off his jacket and shorts to reveal his own jammers, these with pink accents here and there. Diving into the water, Pikachu right behind him, Nagisa swam over to his friend and his favorite Pokémon. “Are we training today, Haru-chan, or are we just going to swim?”

Haru ran a hand over Milotic’s skin slowly. “I only battle free.”

“I know that! But you said you’d help me train! Or did you forget about that?”

“I didn’t forget.” Haru glanced at Nagisa with a faint smile. “Can we swim for a while first?”

Nagisa pouted for a moment, but then grinned broadly. He wanted to train his Pokémon, but he would never turn down a chance to swim with Haru. His swimming was one of the things that had made him fall for the quiet teen, really. Nagisa could never get enough of the amazing feeling he felt when swimming with Haru and his top-notch water Pokémon. Milotic especially was amazing, always swimming with such beauty and grace that Nagisa couldn’t get enough of it.

“Yeah, we can swim for a while!” Nagisa agreed, glancing over at Pikachu. “Sound like a plan?”

“Pika-chu!” the electric mouse agreed, swimming over and climbing onto Milotic’s back. Milotic’s eyes seemed to smile. It was a good thing that Nagisa and Haru’s Pokémon got along so well, since they spent so much time together.

Nagisa stole a glance at Sylveon and Vaporeon, lying curled up together on the shore of the lake. The two of them were the best of friends, almost as close as Nagisa and Haru themselves were. It made Nagisa really happy to see them curled up together like that.

“We’re going for a swim, Sylveon!” he called to the shore. “Don’t go anywhere!”

Sylveon looked up at him and smiled, offering a nod before curling up with Vaporeon again. Turning to Haru, Nagisa grinned. “Let’s get going, Haru-chan!”

The two boys dove under the water and started swimming, Milotic swimming alongside them with Pikachu clinging to her back. Nagisa swam closer to Haru, his hand brushing the other’s for a moment. Haru glanced at him, offered another faint smile, and took Nagisa’s hand as they kept swimming.
