Bonus Round 3: FSTs
Bonus Round 3: FSTs
This round is CLOSED. Late fills can be posted, but they won't receive points.
We're halfway through all the bonus rounds now. If you're like us, every love song on the radio seems to apply to your OTP. In this round we'd like you to serenade us with some of your top picks!
This round ends at 7PM on July 11 EDT. Countdown Timer.
RULES
- Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (3-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
- Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. (This is not the sports anime gen olympics.) Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Riko & Momoi & Alex). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Riko/Momoi/Alex). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
- Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
- Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.
- Remember to follow the general bonus round rules, outlined here.
- You cannot fill your teammates' prompts or your own prompts.

FILL: TEAM OIKAWA TOORU/USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI, G
He should've learnt his lesson, really, he should have. It isn't the first time it happens--this quitting, not quitting, walking on a thin rope with arms swinging awkwardly, trying to pretend there's balance and confidence to their steps.
After graduating from high school, they had the (un)fortunate luck of bumping into each other again in college. Like they’re meant to revolve around each other; like they had in middle school, in high school.
Kissing him in the locker rooms of their gymnasium is a first. It's been two months they've been hanging around each other, and a little more than three months of no touching, no nothing.
Oikawa's girlfriend had already dumped him in high school because of how little time he spent with her, how little effort he'd put into the relationship, slamming volleyball after volleyball and Ushijima's face--tattooed behind his eyelids--fueling his drive.
They were young boys who did not do well with obsession. Ushijima wanted as hard as he spiked, Oikawa fought with teeth and nails. Literally. Ushijima remembers the times he had to cover up scratch marks and bite marks.
"I'm not doing this anymore," Oikawa had said a few weeks before high school graduation when he ran into Ushijima during his morning run.
"Doing what?"
"'This', whatever it is you and I are doing," Oikawa motioned with his hands like he couldn't quite grasp the concept of whatever was going on between them. As if this was the first time he'd ended 'things' between them, "You and I have nothing in common. You don’t understand me."
Ushijima wanted to point out that whenever he'd try to talk to Oikawa he'd shut him down, snarling that he should stop pretending he cared about him at all.
"She still loves me. I was a bad boyfriend to her in the past, all because I spent too much time obsessing over you and a hypothetical win I never got," he had shrugged like he was unaffected, "Oh well, whatever. I'm going to make it up to her."
Ushijima did care. He still does.
The locker feels cold against his sweaty back, but he doesn't know if the goosebumps rising on his skin and the hairs standing on his neck are because of the cold or the press of Oikawa's lips against his. He kisses like he's starved, and Ushijima is as predictable, as easy as always. He rests a hand under soft brown hair, against the nape of Oikawa's neck.
"What have you done to me?" he chokes out accusingly before teeth trap Ushijima's lower lip and tug like he wants to tear it off. Tear Ushijima apart bit by bit.
Truth is, Ushijima has been torn apart by Oikawa Tooru a long time ago. He doesn't even fight, he doesn't even push him away. His girlfriend must have been texting him while they were practicing, Ushijima thinks as he closes his eyes and follows the heat of Oikawa's mouth.
"You hold me down," he's seething as he pulls away completely, choosing to sink his teeth in the flesh between Ushijima's neck and shoulders.
Ushijima brushes Oikawa's hair with a gentleness no one would ever suspect him to demonstrate. He tilts his head to the side, and through lidded eyelids he tries to focus on the light in the ceiling.
He bites his lip--still swollen and wet--to stop himself from telling Oikawa he's everything.
He feels like somehow, Oikawa heard him, because of the press of his nails on the small of his back. Ushijima can't stop thinking about his girlfriend, and how she will probably still text him tomorrow during practice.
And the day after. And the week after.
He's everything, so he keeps quiet.
