SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Profess your love for your favorite ships with the power of song! In this round, we ask you to create fan soundtracks and use them as inspiration for new fanwork.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES

• Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (1-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
• Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Lilia & Sara). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Lilia/Sara). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
• Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.

These numbers apply to your team as a whole, not each individual teammate. Make as many prompts/fills as you want!

For prompts: 5 points each (maximum of 50 prompt points per team per round)

First 4 fills by any member of your team: 20 points each
Fills 5-10: 15 points each
Fills 11-20: 5 points each
Fills 21-50: 2 points each
Fills 51+: 1 point each

There's silver hissing its way through the air but it's nothing for Akashi to step aside out of the bullet's path, when he can already predict its trajectory. He turns to look behind him, at the gun pointed in his direction and the hunter holding it, hidden in the shadows.

"Interesting, that you would do this to yourself," Akashi murmurs, and he doesn't even need to see who it is to know exactly who his hunter is. The smell of burning silver is enough. There's only one vampire out there who would use the same weapons he's weak against to hunt others.

Himuro puts his gun back into its holster and steps forward, smiling at Akashi. "Good evening, emperor."

"You ought to be careful," Akashi replies. "A lesser vampire might actually take you as a threat and fight back, instead of simply standing back and letting you destroy yourself."

"A lesser vampire would have died," Himuro replies. "And they would have been better off for it. At least then, they would be free."

"Of what, I wonder?" Akashi steps closer to Himuro, even though his entire body wants to resist the movement. He knows Himuro still has more bullets left in his gun, but he also knows that none of them are going to hit him, no matter how hard Himuro might try. "My rule? Is that what you think that you're saving them from? Or is it their own vampirism that you're so graciously saving them from? Or… I wonder if it's something simpler than that. Perhaps you're doing nothing more than saving them from your hatred, only because you can't live with yourself, but you can't quite bring yourself to die just yet either."

"This existence isn't a life," Himuro spits. "This is nothing but instinct and hunger and I can't stand it. This isn't what I wanted."

"You're the one who asked for it, Tatsuya," Akashi replies. "You were the one who was jealous that you weren't chosen, who chased something you thought to be your destiny, when it wasn't. You're the one who came to me."

Himuro growls under his breath. "You didn't tell me that it would be like this."

"And you didn't ask," Akashi replies. He reaches for Himuro's holster, ripping it away and tossing it behind him without once touching the gun. "I only gave you what you wanted. This is how you thank me."

"Forgive me for not being more grateful," Himuro mutters, but his sarcasm has no bite to it. He's on his knees before he fully realises, and glares up at Akashi. "I am going to kill you one day, I swear."

Akashi hums, bored, and bends to kiss Himuro. "You can try. For now, you should come home."

Akashi is patient. He’s had to be, considering the people he’s had to deal with, and it’s not as if he’d used up a limited supply on them. Rather, he’d have no patience with them in order to pool it all into this, here, because it’s worth it. Kuroko is worth the wait, the patience, the point in which his grip around this routine makes his fingers numb. But he will not let go, even if he’s ahead; even if he’s getting through that’s the moment when Kuroko will find room to dart away and demur again.

It takes patience, exacting movements, a steady hand, the same hand steady on shogi tiles or the bow of a violin, on practice schedules or chalk on the board in front of the class, steady like riding a difficult horse. Kuroko will yield, always, up to a point; it’s as if he’s testing Akashi, making Akashi win each battle. It’s like Kuroko’s giving him the gift of challenge, so that when Akashi finally wins him over it will be all that much more rewarding (though this was never about the thrill of the chase if there was such a thing; Akashi would much rather have Kuroko accept his touches and kisses now if it was his choice to make).

“What do you think of the pastries, Kuroko?”

“They’re a bit rich, Akashi-kun,” says Kuroko.

Three quarters of his danish still sit on his plate. Akashi had opted for a smaller piece of cake; he had offered a bite from his fork to Kuroko and Kuroko had shaken his head.

“May I?” says Akashi.

Kuroko acquiesces, pushing the plate a little closer to the center of the table, and Akashi tears off a corner, biting into it right on the marks from Kuroko’s teeth. Kuroko watches him, saying nothing.

“Did you like it?” Akashi asks.

Kuroko nods, and Akashi makes a mental note of it. He doesn’t mention how nice Kuroko looks this time, nor does he ask if Kuroko wants to go shopping later (he’ll make an excuse anyway, and perhaps Akashi ought to disappoint him by not letting him give it). Instead, he flags the waiter down and pays (and Kuroko always lets him do that). Akashi leaves several bills inside the case, and places it down on the table. He moves his hand over, away from Kuroko’s plate, to cover Kuroko’s hand. He has plenty of time to move away, but he doesn’t; his face turns perhaps a shade pinker. Akashi has to try hard not to smile as widely as he wants to.

The worst part of Kiyoshi is how alike they are, or how alike Kiyoshi seems to think they are. And maybe they both have crummy, rotten souls, eaten through by mold and mildew, but Kiyoshi’s seems to shine all the brighter for it. He’s got annoying sycophants like that Hyuuga kid groveling at his feet, telling him he’s the most honest man, and Hanamiya thinks about suggesting he get a better pair of glasses. Kiyoshi’s despicable to the core and yet no one seems to see it behind the stupid mask he wears.

It’s like he’s fucking years behind Hanamiya; Hanamiya’s long since given up on that; fooling everyone had been child’s play (and, no, no matter how fucking smart Seto thinks he is, it’s not because Imayoshi or anyone else had somehow figured out his game; that’s got nothing to do with this at all). Hanamiya’s getting more than a little bored of waiting around for him to admit it, just give up, because isn’t he reaching the point of diminishing returns on whatever kind of reaction he can elicit, the number of people he can draw into his little charade?

“Aren’t you getting bored with this garbage?” Hanamiya asks him.

Kiyoshi laughs. “What do you mean? Does it bother you, Hanamiya?”

“As if,” says Hanamiya, crossing his arms (damn Kiyoshi for being that much bigger).

“I think it does,” says Kiyoshi, kissing him.

Hanamiya bites first but Kiyoshi bites harder, pretending it’s a slip of his teeth (the fucking liar).

“It’s okay,” says Hanamiya. “I like that.”

He knows his lips are swollen, but he knows Kiyoshi’s waiting for his next sentence (but he can’t not give it, because--no, he does not ever mean that kind of shit when he says it).

“Kidding, dumbass.”

“Aww,” says Kiyoshi, pretending to pout.

Hanamiya wants to sock him in the eye.

“You really are the worst, Kiyoshi.”

“Coming from you, that’s a compliment,” says Kiyoshi. “I’m flattered.”

Hanamiya scowls. The so-called good, boring people who shove their moral compasses in everyone’s faces, they’re equally insufferable, despite being the exact opposite of Kiyoshi. It doesn’t matter, except it does. Does Kiyoshi really think Hanamiya’s got that little of a grasp on him? Is this some kind of larger trick?

“Fuck you,” Hanamiya says, settling on something all-purpose, if not quite as effective as it could be.

Still, Kiyoshi lets the moment lie for now.

When they first start training together, Teshima isn't sure what to expect. He's used to being lost in the pack. Having someone notice him, want to work with him, is a new experience. He worries he's going to let the team down. Even more than that, he worries that he's going to let Aoyagi down, but Aoyagi's faith in him makes up for any lack of his own. He's not sure what he's done to deserve the trust that Aoyagi gives him.

They train hard together, practicing long into the night until they're able to ride as a single unit, not having to think about where the other is, because they just know. It's not just in practice that they spend time together either. Before long, it's more common to see them together than it is to see them apart. They both find themselves picking up the other's hobbies before long too. Even if they don't have a deep personal interest in them, it's nice to see something the other one clearly cares about so much, even if they go along mainly to watch.

At least, that's what Teshima thinks as he watches Aoyagi work in his little windowsill garden, carefully pruning back stalks here and there and planting seeds in empty spaces. Aoyagi takes his hand at one point and guides him to help with the planting. They smile at each other, dirty fingers laced together.; even without words, Teshima knows what Aoyagi is saying. He too hopes their relationship flourishes and blossoms like the seeds.

Their loss at the training camp their second year hits them both hard, but Teshima hardest of all. It was his strategy after all; if he had had a better plan, then maybe they wouldn't have lost. He pushes Aoyagi away after that. It's clear how talented Aoyagi is, and he's doing nothing but holding him back.

Aoyagi doesn't let him go though. Aoyagi follows him, even though he knows he can't be good company at the moment. No matter how many times he tells Aoyagi that Aoyagi deserves someone better, Aoyagi shakes his head and sits down by his side anyway.

Eventually, Teshima stops fighting. He doesn't want to go either. He still doesn't think he deserves Aoyagi, but if Aoyagi is so determined, who is he to try to stop him. He pours himself even harder into their training after that. He'll make up for what he lacks in strength with strategy. He doesn't want to think about the possibility that they'll lose again, but if they do, he's knows that Aoyagi will still be there by his side, wordless but supportive.

"You should be sleeping," Otabek says over voice chat, sounding exhausted, like a filthy hypocrite.

Yuri tells him that he's one. In those exact words. It doesn't achieve anything, beyond a chuckle that sounds scratchy from how tired he is, and that ends up sending a jolt of something through Yuri's stomach that he can't quite place.

He gets it out of his system by completely crushing the next team they're matched up against in Overwatch, which is the whole reason they're both up this late in the first place. He flies through the air as Pharah, raining destruction on the opposing team. It doesn't help, when Otabek flies alongside him as Mercy, his own personal pocket healer, only leaving his side long enough to heal the rest of their team before returning to wherever Yuri is on the map.

It's nice, Yuri thinks with his heart his throat, that their characters can be right beside each other in the same place like this, even if they can't do the same.

"Nice, Yura," Otabek murmurs as Yuri uses Pharah's ultimate, and the praise makes him feel warm and pleased, more than the rest of his team's praise combined.

They stop playing after they win this match. Yuri can tell that Otabek is tired, even if it's not quite as late in Almaty as it is in St Petersburg. They both have a rest day tomorrow, which is the only reason they can afford to stay up this late at all, but Yuri knows that Otabek has been busy with his DJing work as well as the university course that he's been taking part-time. His life has been busy, and he's still been performing well enough to consistently attend the Grand Prix Final for the past few years. Yuri tries not to worry for him where anyone else can notice, including Otabek himself, but he worries all the same.

"Go to sleep, Beka," Yuri mutters, as his cat sleepily rearranges herself against his side. He strokes his fingers through her fur absently, and it suddenly makes him think of the last time he ran his fingers over Otabek's undercut, just as absently affectionate, the last time they got to spend time with each other. It makes his face burn and he finds that he has to bite his lip to keep himself from grinning. "Look, we both have the day off tomorrow. Maybe we can play more then, or something."

"Maybe," Otabek murmurs. "Maybe we'll also have the time for a video chat."

"Yeah," Yuri replies softly, smiling at the thought of getting to see Otabek's face. "We could do that."

The first thing Kagami realises is that he can still see Kuroko coming. His lack of presence hasn't changed at all, and Kagami can see him anyway, just as he always could.

The second thing he realises is that this is the only remnant of their relationship that has stayed the same. Kuroko's expression is as blank as it ever is but when Kagami could read it at a glance before, he's looking at it now and can't recognise any of the subtleties he sees in it. He doesn't know what that slight amount of tension around Kuroko's eyes means, or why he's pressing his lips together into a thin line, the way that he is.

Maybe it's a critical look. Kagami isn't sure, though, and it's an uncomfortable realisation that settles in his chest. He's looking at the other half of something that used to make him whole and he doesn't recognise it at all, doesn't know how to fit himself against it any more.

He knows that he's not meant to, any more. He knows that those times are behind them both and that's fine, because it's the way things needed to happen, back then.

"Taiga," Kuroko greets him, and it would feel like no time has passed at all, if only Kagami could recognise the person standing in front of him.

He wonders if Aomine felt a little bit of this too, in the time that passed between middle and high school. He wonders if he could stand on a basketball court with Kuroko again and know exactly where to look, where to be, and what to do, all without even once having to talk about it.

He wonders if Kuroko feels the same kind of dissonance looking at him too, or if Kagami's just too easy to read that it doesn't make a difference on his end, and this is just a weird, one-sided shock, like he's reached out to his side only to find nothing there.

"Taiga," Kuroko tries again. "You look kind of miserable, with that expression."

Kagami laughs quietly. "Do I, Tetsuya?"

Kuroko looks up at him curiously, and Kagami's stomach swoops with the realisation that maybe they both can't read each other any more. It's not just Kagami. He isn't sure if that makes him feel any better, or if it just makes him feel worse.

At the very least, he knows that he's grown since the last time they knew each other properly. He pushes the hurt aside and smiles at Kuroko.

"Hey. Do you want to get lunch and catch up?"
