SASO 2017 is over, but this round is perpetually open to new fills (no new prompts).

Profess your love for your favorite ships with the power of song! In this round, we ask you to create fan soundtracks and use them as inspiration for new fanwork.

Please read this whole post before commenting to ensure that your team gets the most points possible.

RULES

• Submit prompts in the form of a short playlist (1-6 songs) and a ship from any of our nominated fandoms. Submit only the track listing and a link to where they can be listened to; the idea is for others to interpret what you present. You may also link to lyrics if you would like.
• Your prompt MUST include some kind of relationship. Platonic relationships are indicated by an "&" between the names (e.g., Lilia & Sara). Non-platonic relationships use "/" (e.g., Lilia/Sara). Please don't say "Any pairing," either.
• Create content based on the playlists of others! Fill prompts by leaving a responding comment to the prompt with your newly-created work.
• Fills may be in any form you choose (except for another FST of course) as long as they are inspired by/fit the mood of the soundtrack they are filling for.

"Oh, you naughty boy," Imayoshi tsked as Hanamiya strolled over with faint specks of blood on his shirt cuffs. "What have you been up to now?"

"Nothing, senpai," Hanamiya said with the utmost earnestness. "It was a terrible accident. One of the boys in the basketball club tripped while going down the stairs. I stayed with him until the ambulance came."

Hanamiya settled down next to Imayoshi, well aware of the silence that had fallen on the Student Council Committee the moment that Hanamiya entered, and widened his eyes at Imayoshi.

"It was so horrible. His arm bone was poking out from his arm - it was all white and grisly with blood gushing out--"

Oe of the other student council members made a choking noise and fled. The other two were quick to follow, leaving Imayoshi and Hanamiya alone.

Hanamiya's grin sharpened as he leaned in and cooed into Imayoshi's ear, "And when I put my hand on the bone and yanked, he screamed so sweetly."

Imayoshi shivered and a second later, Hanamiya's hand was in Imayoshi's lap.

Hanamiya jogged off the court, sweat dripping down from his hairline and tricklign down the sides of his face. He headed for the locker room, raising his hand to high-five Imayoshi.

Instead, Imayoshi grabbed his wrist and used it as leverage to slam him against the lockers.

"You're such a bad boy," Imayoshi said, the grey glint of his eyes unnerving from behind his glasses. "I told you to leave that one alone."

"Did you, senpai?" Hanamiya cooed, ignoring their discomforted teammates trying to ignore them. "My mistake. I thought it was the blond you wanted spared."

"Brat," Imayoshi said. He pressed tighter, squeezing the delicate bones in Hanamiya's wrists until he could hear them grinding together with a papery scrape. Hanamiya shivered and went limp in Imayoshi's grasp, dangling from his eyes.

It looked like submission but in his eyes, a challenge still glittered.

Imayoshi squeezed harder until Hanamiya's back arched away from the lockers and his tongue slid out, licking over his lips in that odd, half-repulsive, half-sexual manner.

"Senpai," he groaned, breath coming a little quicker. "Is that all you're going to squeeze?"

By now, all their teammates had beat a hasty retreat to the shower room. Imayoshi let go of Hanamiya's wrists and Hanamiya promptly slid to the floor, mouth open and head tilted back already.

"Make it fast," Imayoshi said and slid his hands into Hanamiya's hair instead.

"You always know just what people will hate the most," Hanamiya said, the words a half-laugh as he eyed the contraption in Imayoshi's hands. The metal gleamed cold and merciless, the sharpened ends of the prongs looking vicious enough to cut right through Hanamiya's cheeks.

"It's not as if you've ever needed your mouth to hurt anyone," Imayoshi said as he held the gag up to Hanamiya's mouth. There was a moment that Hanamiya could have yanked his head away, that could have said no - but he would never forfeit a point to Imayoshi.

He opened his mouth instead and let the metal slide over his lips. It formed a circle just behind his front roys of teeth, keeping his mouth open, but left his tongue free to move. The sharp prongs that pressed into his cheek were an incentive not to talk, though. The thick smell of new leather rose from the gag and Hanamiya swallowed the saliva that had started to gather in his mouth.

"It suits you," Imayoshi said, his smile malicious. "All the pleasure and none of the pain of having to listen to you talk."

Hanamiya couldn't respond verbally so he punched Imayoshi hard in the groin instead, making him fall back to the ground. He slammed his foot down on Imayoshi's crotch, hard enough to make Imayoshi howl, and then dropped down swiftly to get his hands around Imayoshi's throat.

Imayoshi had been right. Hanamiya didn't need his mouth to hurt people.

ryousuke's zanpakuto doesn't change much when he releases it (blooom, he says, the sword's name siblant and soft and something youichi can't quite catch), pale pink ribbon appearing as the hilt passes behind his palm, floating around him in a perfect circle for a weightless moment before it shatters, shooting off toward the target like seeds of light. ryousuke makes a soft, satisfied noise in his throat, settles into his battle stance with a wide sweep of his arm that youichi has never seen but that seems comfortable and practiced, dangerous. youichi's never seen him at full power, the circumstances of their meeting meaning that ryousuke's been drained, sundered, or bound in some capacity since youichi's known him, and curiosity burns under his skin like an infection.

still, he can't help but posture. "is that all?" he says, part bravado, part ryou-san, pay attention to me.

"we can't all wield oversized kitchen knives," ryousuke says, disdain marred by the sheer giddiness of his voice. the practice construct is lumbering toward him, slow but clearly threatening, and youichi's palms itch around the hilt of his oversized kitchen knife, months as a substitute shinigami urging him to step in, to protect. "you're the one whose always so worried about looking cool, aren't you?" ryousuke says, looking over his shoulder with a grin that makes youichi's stomach jump. ryousuke snaps his fingers and and the construct erupts into a profusion of blossoms, each flower opening and exploding in a shower of rose-gold sparks, and youichi feels the spirit power behind each one like a sonic boom.

youichi gapes at the smoking crater where the construct was just a moment ago, entire body ringing from the massive release of spirit power. "holy shit, ryou-san," he says, but he loses track of the rest of the sentence, as he turns to look at ryousuke. ryousuke's laughing, hair lifted up off his face by the force of the blast, exhiliration lighting every line of his body and looking happier than youichi has ever seen him. oh, shit.

"if you work harder," he says, turning that smile on youichi like he hasn't just ruined whatever's left of youichi's life for the third time since they met, "maybe someday you'll be able to do more than just beat things up with that thing."

"hey, i've been doing okay," youichi says, protest reflexive while he's scrambling to get his mind off the curve of ryousuke's mouth when he laughs, and what it might feel like to kiss him. "i saved your ass plenty of times!"

ryousuke flaps a hand. "yes, thank you," he says, "that was before—"

"WHO IS GOING TO CLEAN THAT UP," comes a familiar howl across the the training ground, cutting off whatever ryousuke was going to say.

"oops," he says instead, sheathing his now-dormant zanpakuto and turning neatly on his heel, hands folded behind his back as if he was just passing by. "better make a break for it."

"what," youichi says helplessly, but ryousuke's already pulling him along by the hand and youichi just runs with him.

“Then we shoved a grenade down the chute, and the whole thing, energon and all, went up in a huge—”

“BOOM!” Naruko ended Tadokoro’s sentence with a jump in the air. “That’s it, Old Bot! Make those ‘cons sorry they messed with the wreckers!”

Tadokoro punched his fists together, laughing in turn with Naruko’s excitement, and the metallic clang echoed through the base. Onoda covered his ears, his fingers momentarily separated from his laptop’s keyboard to shield him.

Makishima rolled his eyes and sighed.

“Hey, what’s your attitude problem?” Naruko asked, jumping over to the safety railing closest to Makishima’s work station. “Feeling sorry for the ‘cons?”

Makishima scoffed, dismissing him with a shrug that made the blades on his back sway and clang slightly.

“Come to think of it, almost all of them are flyers, and you’re the only flyer here,” Naruko said, leaning over the railing with an impish grin. “What’s the deal with that?”

“Hey, lay off,” Tadokoro said before Makishima waved him off.

Makishima looked around to notice that Onoda was staring at him curiously too.

He sighed. “It’s nothing. When we got here to Earth, this was simply the vehicle that best matched my previous function.”

“Huh,” Naruko grunted. “So, helicopters on your world just sit around all day mostly?”

“Naruko-kun!” Onoda shouted, looking worried.

“Makishima provides much more value to our team than may meet the eye.” Everyone’s attention was instantly drawn to Kinjou as he strode into the room, apparently having heard the majority of the conversation without anyone noticing. “And his alt-mode is quite useful when the situation calls for it.” Kinjou Prime’s facial expressions were often too subtle to be deciphered easily, but in this moment he was quite clearly smirking, looking directly at Makishima.

He exited nearly as abruptly as he had entered, leaving Makishima to stifle a chuckle.

“Is he always eavesdropping all creepy like that?” Naruko muttered darkly.

“He gets it from his sire,” Makishima mumbled.

Naruko looked up at him, cocking his head to one side as his eyebrows knit together on his forehead. “His what now?”

Onoda laughed, covering his mouth and nearly doubling over on his laptop.

Makishima smirked.

“Uhh…” Tadokoro stepped forward. “Maybe that’s enough Cybertronian lessons for today.”

“No, I wanna know what’s so funny,” Naruko said, his grimace intensifying.

Makishima turned to him, grinning wildly. “Well, if you’re sure you want a biology lesson…”

Tadokoro scooped up Naruko before he could reply. “Actually, let’s go for a drive, kid. I don’t think you’re old enough yet for the talk about the nuts and the bolts.”

“I’m fifteen!” Naruko shouted, becoming slightly muffled as he became encased in Tadokoro’s hummer form.

As they drove off, Makishima looked back to Onoda, and the two of them barely managed to lock eyes for more than a beat before laughing again.

Now 25, freshly retired from a professional career that’s seen him dominating the world circuit to a degree that many thought unfair, Ryoma Echizen is a national hero in Japan. Despite the many awards he’s won, Ryoma remains a humble man, dedicated to his sport and his cat.

He kindly agreed to an interview with Monthly Pro Tennis, citing the many happy memories he has of them from his middle and high school years.

Shiba: “Echizen-san! Thank you so much for having agreed to this interview. We are very grateful you would share your valuable time with us.”

Ryoma: “No problem.”

Shiba: “Have you really retired for good?”

Ryoma: “Yes.”

Shiba: “Ah, but while 25 is old for a tennis player, you still hold an undefeated record on the professional stage! What made you decide to retire?”

Ryoma: “Karupin, my cat - he’s thirteen now. That’s old for a cat. I wanted to spend more time with him.”

Shiba: “Oh. I see. So your retirement is only temporary?”

Ryoma: “No.”

Shiba: “Well! What plans do you have for the future?”

Ryoma: “I thought I could be a volunteer coach at Seigaku.”

Shiba: “Your old school?! You’re going -- teach middle school students tennis?!”

Ryoma: “Yes.”

Shiba: “You must have many fond memories of it! Those lucky children, to be taught by a former Wimbledon winner!”

Shiba: “Do you still keep in touch with your old teammates?”

Ryoma: “Yes.”

Shiba: “Have you seen them since coming here?”

Ryoma: “Yes.”

Shiba: “What do they think of your plan to teach tennis?”

Ryoma: “They were also surprised. One of my classmates, Horio, is the current coach. He said that he would be glad to have my help.”

Shiba: “Of course! What coach wouldn’t love to have a professional like you helping?”

Ryoma: “A bad coach.”

Shiba: “A bad - ha hahah, your sense of humor is as sharp as ever, I see. What does your father think of retirement?”

Ryoma: “He’s pleased that I finished the grand slam before I quit. He doesn’t like Karupin much but he understands why I stopped playing.

Shiba: “Will you miss your friends from the professional circuit?”

Ryoma: “They can always visit. Especially Eiji-senpai and Oishi-senpai.”

Shiba: “Oh? You still call them your senpais?”

Ryoma: “They taught me a lot. All of the Seigaku regulars did. If I hadn’t gone to Seigaku, I wouldn’t be the player I am today.”

Shiba: “And now, by coming back to teach at Seigaku, you’ve come full circle.”

Ryoma: “Yes.” He smiles briefly. “Maybe I’ll discover the new Prince of Tennis.”
